    Damn Whatman Filter!

Everytime i make a batch of Fina, the filter gets clogges almost by the time I am done with 20ml. I wait for the fina binders to settle to the bottom and i am always sure to avoid sucking them up when i get towards the bottom. Any suggestions fina kit veterans?

Make sure the oil is still very warm when you go to filter it or else its impossible. Hope that helps

I had a hell of a time filtering last time. I used a shit load of filters when I made my last batch. I don't know if it was the kit or what because I never used more than 1 while using A's kits. Thank god he is back.

should i pour the entire mixture of oil and BA with fina into a funnel lined with a coffee filter or should I draw up most of the solution and when i get to the bottom with binders, then pour the rest into the funnel. I hope i was clear.

Agreed, I still use a coffee filter EVERYTIME i make a batch.

Sure it adds a few hours to the process but why put yourself through all the B.S.

Take your time and push it slow through the watman filter and you will have no problems.
