    Advice to the old guy?

    HI,

I am 45, have weight trained for 30 years, have amature body building trophies, and drug free PL championships... then age hit.

Between raising kids, coaching baseball, alternate hobbies (race dirtbikes, etc), I managed to get a partial tear on my subscap - docs are recommending surgery, I am thinking it might be time to do my first cycle. A lot has changed since I first looked at doing juice (20 years ago).

Thoughts, advice? I am not looking to compete any longer, just want to keep being super dad, and playing hard. Shoulder may need surgery, like to avoid it if I can.

I train 4 days a week, run 2-3 times a week, windsurf in the summer, ride MX in the winter, coach baseball in the spring. I am 5'6 160, have been as heavy as 175 naturally.

    thanks in advance.

    Mike

    Diet - metabolism -

fast metabolism, eat like a horse, can pound 8 beers a day and still run 10 miles.

Lipids are all in check, diet is protein heavy, though I've been increasing the carbs a lot recently, as I am training for the Marine Corps Marathon (why? gads, LONG story).

    Thanks again

You may want to look at something like this:

    Test-Cyponiate (weeks 1 - 14) @ 300 - 400mg each week
    Deca (weeks 1 - 12) @ 200 - 300mg

If you run the deca @ a low dosage, (IE) 200mg EW, it is known to be very therapeutic for your joints. I would recommend it; it'll make that shoulder pain subside for a little while; and at least post-pone your surgery decision. (don't get me wrong though; deca will not help your symptoms / heal your shoulder... it'll just mask the symptoms.. kinda like visine )

Look into PCT research... but here is an example:

    Nolva (weeks 17 - 21) -- 40 / 40 / 20 / 20mg
    Clomid (weeks 17 - 21) -- 100 / 50 / 50 / 50mg

^^ those numbers (IE) 40mg + 20mg, etc... are the weekly values (and THE DAILY values). (IE) week 1 = 40mg nolva + 100mg clomid each day.

    Hope that helps, old-timer! ahha.

    Serious mass

    Thanks for the recommendations.

Won't heal the shoulder, I kind of figured that, but....Injured it first in 1982, again in 1998, this time seems a little more serious...but.....

The doc even said that the other muscles of the shoulder can compensate. I have full non painful rotation at this point. Can not do a dip to save my life, but managed to pull in a 10# halibut today with no complaints.

So - if you can define your abbreviations for me, I might be off to the races.

    Test-Cyponiate (weeks 1 - 14) @ 300 - 400mg each week

Gads, what is Cyponiate? Like I said, not looked at this for 20 years. Over the counter, the internet, a doc??

    Deca (weeks 1 - 12) @ 200 - 300mg - Ah, a name I recognize.

So you are recommending a 14 week cycle, weeks 1-14 with Cyponiate, weeks 1-12 with Deca?

    thanks again.

Yes; that is exactly what I was saying.

Cyponiate = testosterone with a cyponiate ester attached to it. Meaning it is a slow release testosterone, and the ester doesn't clear your body for something like 18 days. (it means only 2 injections per week; as opposed to a short-estered version of testosterone).

Regarding how to get it... well steroids ARE illegal bro. lol, that sure hasn't changed. But one way of getting testosterone is to talk to your doctor about "Testosterone Replacement Therapy" basically they put you onto test for the rest of your life (while monitoring your blood-levels every couple of months). Otherwise, go the illegal route, and order them online, or find a local source.

Hope that made everything a bit clearer! Good luck

    Beautiful -

My doc is my age, lifts weights, and pulls out his script pad when I walk in the door. If he smells easy money, I'm in.

TRT - OK, one more ortho to speak to about this, he's also a stand up dude, figure I can bounce my plan off him as well.

Worse case, I pack on 15 pounds of muscle, and they have to use a longer scope to peak at the ligiment.

Oh - A tangent, but....I have a marathon ahead of me. I know gaining weight prior to a 26.2 mile run may not be the brightest move, but do you think there are gains to be had as well?

    thanks for your thoughts.

I had a friend tear a hammy once (whole leg black and blue style tear) and shoot igf-1 right into the injury and it healed at a remarkable rate.

But I've never heard anyone else recommend it but him, and I've never read any scientific evidence back it up. So it could have just been a coincidence. Anyways, food for thought

Thank god for privatized medicine hey? hahaha.

Regarding the marathon... if anything test should help your performance. more energy; more muscle; higher red blood cell count. Pretty quality advantages if you ask me! hah.

K I'm going out tonight though bro. So if you have more questions Private Message me. peace
