    Travel to Mexico City..thoughts

Well, first post outside of my "new here" post.

Here is my situation. I work for a company that allows me to freely travel without much restriction anywhere in the world. Europe travel and Asia travel is a little harder and more time consuming but still can be done. I have a few days off next month and I am thinking of flying down to Mexico City for the day and coming back the next day. I have friends that will be there at the same time so I would have a reason to be there and the travel to and from Mexico City is as easy for me as going to the store.

Having said that...are the chances of getting better quality stuff higher by going as far south as Mexico City, or are there the same problems? Since there are not as many US vacationers there, would it still be easy to walk into a pharm and buy what I need to buy? And lastly, I would mail it back, but use a shipping company like FedEx or DHL. I know they can still be tagged but I would think a package with gift wrapped boxes in a larger fed ex box mixed in with tons of other packages (since Mexico City is so large) would have a much better chance of making it through. Obviously I would send the package as to be left at the doorstep and not signed for.

I am doing the same thing around the holidays in Thailand or maybe Romania but for now, I only have time for a trip south of the border and I figured since it was easy to travel, Mexico City would be much better and safer than a border town.

Any help, advice or thoughts on this would be great.

    Thanks....Longhorn.

Mexico city is a better choice then a border town. Just be careful bro because ive heard of horror stories south of the border. If you have a friend down there have them go to the pharmacy and then give you the package to ship. Cops are dirty down south.

Thanks for the heads up. I am seeing the issues with Mex City as well. My plan would be to just cab stright from the airport to the hotel, next day do some shopping in the area and send back the stuff fedex, dhl, ups, etc, just not usps. Third day go home.

Here is my other option. I can wait until the middle of next month and make a trip to Thailand for a few days. I would go to Bangkok and do the same thing but would be worried about everything getting caught up by customs. Once again, FedEx, DHL, UPS I have heard are all better since customs does not have the time to check all the packages coming from a large city.

Any advice or experience with the mail system? Lastly, I assume there is MUCH better gear in Thailand. Just getting it back to the states is the issue.

    Thanks again.

honestly as long as u dont sign for ANYTHING when it gets to your house or go pick it up if it gets taken i think ur good to go because they wont be able to pin it on you. and since u can just go anywhere u can do it again if it does get taken by customs! i would personally do thailand as i too have heard the mexican stories of danger and bunk stuff.

    good luck!

    and take me with u!

The main thing you have to worry about bro is while your in Mexico city. I live in Texas and have heard horror stories of people going to a pharmacy getting the stuff and then the pharmacist calling up his buddy who is a cop. They pick you up with the stuff and you either have to pay so your ass doesnt go to jail... or.. go to a mexico city jail. Thats why i would have someone go to the pharmacy and buy it for me, then meet them up in the hotel and get the stuff that way.

Why don't you just order gear like the rest of us until your trip to Thailand comes up?

I agree that getting it like everyone else would be the thing to do except I don't know anyone where I am that sells. It has been about 5 years since my last cycle and my source from before, while a friend, does not use or deal anymore. I am not someone to start asking randomly at the gym as I don't know a lot of people there. I have thought of ordering online but want to make sure my source is good. Like I said, I can always wait, and dont want to risk anything by going overseas....but I have been out of the game for a while, and now living someone new for the last few years, it has been hard to find anything.
