here is what I have learned so far from being on TRT... grant it.. it will probably be different for everyone so...
100mgs per week= Keep your gains, keep your penis working.. but not really make any noticable gains.. you kinda just stay at a plateau until your next cycle. (recommended)
**especially if you decide to do this without a doctor monitoring you.**
150mgs per week = same as above, but more of an increased libido.. minimal gains.. usually around the same thing as 100mgs per week.
200mgs per week = same as above, plus very much so increased sex drive, make actually somewhat decent gains in the beginning.. they will taper off as you adjust. All around great bridging dose if you plan on being a BODYBUILDER. **Not recommended unless Doctor prescribed or Doctor supervised**
250mgs per week = Same as 200mgs per week, except longer adjustment period... if you venture to this dosage do not count on 500mgs per week working as well as it did before, in fact you may consider just staying consistently on this amount and just stacking with another compound i.e- Deca/Tren/Primo/any Oral... if you choose to up the dose after running this much Test consistently consider going up to 600-750mgs per week.

That's my personal outline.. it should be regarded as such... just an opinion.. NOT A GUIDELINE. Everyone is different and I am going off of experience on this only.
