NCAA testing 4 hgh
I am a pac 10 college football player. I did 3cycles in junior college ball to get me where i am which is 6/2 245. I now have to worry about drug testing. I was wondering if growth hormone can be detected in a piss test.

From what I have read NO.. That is why so many players in the NFL and track stars use it. But here is a bump for the other bros that might have more current information.
Peace,
CC

There is no way they can test for HGH,
People have different amounts produced by there body. Plus the actual hgh level test is very very expensive

just a note from a friendly neighborhood chemist. It is possible to test for HGH. Why? Most HGH (somatotropin) produced is from recombinantly modified bacteria (almost nobody produces real human HGH from cadavers anymore). The bacteria produces the HGH with an additional N-termianl methionine. One could definitely take a blood test and look for this. BUT...(and its a big but)
This is exceedingly expensive. you are talking 1 amino acid out of 192 (HGH contains 191). Add to this the really short reisdence time of HGH inthe body (you could take HGH in the morning and in the afternoon its all gone), and this makes it almost impossible to test for.
conclusion: while possible, HGH testing is not done so don't worry about it.

btw there is just a pure HGH level test that hard to apply cause as bigpump said people have different levels. I was talking about resolving exogeneously applied vs your own body's production.

How much use of AS is there in college sports these days? J/W about that because I have friends and family who have played D.1 Football at places like Nebraska and they refuse to talk about it.

I go to a d1 AA school and all my bros that play football ask me ALOT of suspicious questions about AS...

Yeah you have to figure there is some major use in sports. You hear about this players in the College Combines and all. Who get like 25 reps with 225. Thats just nuts!

To my knowledge, they do not test for HGH even pro BBing, but I did read that they are in the process of designing test to detect it. When I read this, a few months ago, they may already have a test for it. However, like ranger said, it is quite expensive.
