Thread: Losing hair on cycle without being predisposed to do so?

Losing hair on cycle without being predisposed to do so?

I have a few questions about hair loss in those individuals who are not genetically predisposed to male pattern baldness.

Specifically, is it possible for someone who is not predisposed to still lose hair on a cycle?

If so, would this only happen if the cycle were heavily androgenic, or could this even be possible with a milder average cycle?

Finally, would that hair loss be permanent, or would the hair grow back some time after cessation of the cycle?

    Thanks.

DHT (Dehydroteststerone) is what causes hairloss. Steroids like masteron and winstrol increase DHT - and so does Proviron. I havn't run any of those yet and my hairline definately has gone back a little..... not bad..... but i can notice it LOL.

I suspect test and tren did it LOL

My hairline hasn't come back..... then again i am predisposed to a mild case of "high forehead" LOL - if you are worried.... there are things you can take to prevent hairloss..... dht blockers.

I'm not an expert so don't take what I say for absolute fact.

    1. If you are not predisposed to hair loss, you will not lose hair no matter what you do. Some men are born with "weak" follicles that die in the presence DHT (Bi-product of Testosterone). However...don't be so sure you're not predisposed!!! How many old men have a full head of hair...not many. I think something like 90% of white men have the gene, just shows up at different times.

    2. Again, if you truly do not have the gene, you could run anything without hair loss (to the best of my knowledge).

    3. This is debatable. Once, you start losing your hair, that's it. You will never have a full head of hair again. I personally believe some regrowth is possible but it takes a lot (finestride, minoxidil, niz, etc.). I've been to many hair loss forums and there are a good amount of people that regrow but it takes as long as 2 years. Simply put, if you cycle and lose your hair, it will not magically reappear when you come off (to the best of my knowledge).

Be careful here, losing your hair is not easy! Especially if you're young (I'm 26). If you think you have the gene (look at your mother's father), it would be a good idea to have some Propecia on hand. If you see hair loss, start taking it that day.

Again, I'm not an expert, but I've done a lot of research on hair loss. Just sharing what I've learned.

I hope I am not reading your thread wrong, perhaps you are suggesting taking a dht blocker in a general sense.

However, a dht blocker will not stop the hairloss for most steroids (minus test, or some mild pill such as anavar).

If dht blockers helped while on stuff like tren, I'd be using mass amounts of tren for my next cycle, haha.

Most of what you said was spot on except for the mother's father myth. That is such a terrible myth. There is no truth to it what so ever. I am living proof of this, as my mother's father had the world's thickest hair until he died, and I suffer from MPB.

Sorry I have no idea. I know much more about hair loss than AAS. I believe if you are already starting to lose your hair, any does will increase the loss proportionally.

If you're not prone to MPB (so you think), your hair may still thin out I believe.

BIOTIN SUBLINGUAL - 5-10mg a day. The topical biotin doesn't do jack.

Also, try MSM. 1-3g a day.

i read something about 2 months ago debunking hair loss myths and the mother's side of the family is a false myth. i have no idea why people think hair loss stems from your mother's side because it is simply not true

So if the mother's father is not a reliable indicator, how does someone with a full head of hair know if they're immune to MPB or if the hair loss just hasn't started yet (since people prone to MPB begin losing their hair at different ages)?

whoever is thinking of taking propecia, remember, it is for life.... Once you stop taking propecia, you lose the hair again, oh, and its expensive... 1 pill every day and its 3bucks a pill ... it gets kinda expensive.. about $1000 a year . I was on Propecia for 2 years and didn't notice much improvement, now I am considering hair transplantation
