    Shooting with an 18g

    Got a bit sick of shooting with a 25g due to the length of time it takes

    Pros
    - I didn't feel any pain as I thought I would
    - VERY quick injection

    Cons
    - Oil kinda 'spurts' out after I remove the needle and kinda trickles out

    Anyone know why?

    If oil trickles out after injection, use the z track method ( do a search)

    My big concern after pain would be scar tissue developing quickly with such a big gauge.

    18 gauge is used for IV's . Pretty big . You might not like using more pressure to insert at sight if time makes you nervous . Will leave a larger hole .

    You might wanna look for 23 gauge .

    Yeah you guys make a good point too, I was kinda thinking that after waking up with what felt like a bruised quad haha To be honest though there wasn't any pain (I really expected it) but that's true, could end up doing more harm than good. Think I'll just stick to 23g Thanks guys

    What is with people not wanting to take an extra 2 minutes to inject??? Wow 2 minuted out of your day wasted. LOL

    Think about it and yeah the negatives outweigh the positives BIG time.

    I had to use 18's for about 3 weeks before. Inject very slowly and this will help as will the method Marcus suggested.

    18g for filler and nothing less than 23g to shoot. Shooting with 18g might make some people feel like a "real man" but it is completely unnecessary.
