Sterile adscess...dont think that exsists...do you mean like a pocket of oil from an injection that is not inject IM but SubQ rather?....if so it wouldnt hurt...if your abscesses hurt, are red, hot to the touch and have an redness trailing off of them (traveling down vasculature or lymph tracts) then it is def infected! you will need it drainned and to be put on Keflex most likely, or bactrim if the doc thinks it is MRSA. If it is just oil because you didnt inject deep enough or you have some inflammation from some gear with real high BA content it wont be red or hot, but may hurt and swell! Check your temerature also!! If it is high thats is bad obviously.
    Hope this helps

no sterile abscesses are very real.....your body isolates the...perpetrator and just leaves it there.

I know a pro who had one. It was just a knot in his shoulder from so many injections. Usually they don't turn red or hurt like other abscess. Just a hard lump no itching nada

x2 a friend had one in his left delt. It kind of looks like a little ball of muscle.. and feels really hard.. but it's an abscess. Very gross...

    Doesn't hurt him whatsoever though.

There are two types of abscesses .. Septic and Sterile...

If it is a Sterile abscess it might get a little red but it wont hurt ( or swell ) .. And usually they arent warm to the touch ..

They often heal into scar tissue .. like a solid nodules under if you just leave it alone ..

As stated above if it was Septic you would have swelling , pain , splotchy redness ,a fever ect...
