Do the USPS ever use private mail carriers to deliver EMS packages?
I had a pack delivered Express Mail Int'l Service and it was delivered by private mail carrier... he wasn't driving a mail truck, but a a Ford Focus and had some sort of ID hanging from his belt, but no uniform... I signed for it, but has this happened to anyone else?
It was delivered much earlier than my normal postal carrier would deliver the mail.

Good to hear... I actually called the USPS cust svc line and asked about this. They said that EMS does at times use private carriers who dress plain clothes and drive their personal vehicles. I wanted to know what you guys thought, bc the cust svc people a USPS typically aren't well trained and who knows whether they know what they are saying half the time.... I've heard conflicting things from many different agents.
