why do we need estrogen?

in many threads related to AIs, i read many post recommending to watch the estrogen levels and not to fully kill it, because we need estrogen to grow muscles, How?

yes .. Estrogen is required in the muscle building process..( it is somewhat anabolic).... Also Test effects are dependent on aromatization to estrogen ...

Estrogen is anabolic. The most noticeable effects are the waterretention, "bloating". This gives a massive temporary strength/weight-gain. Even tough this gain is temporary it allows you to train harder with heavier weights, thus giving you the ability to progress more rapidly and in turn giving greater "permanent" gains. Also increase in red blood cell count gives you anabolic benefits, as well as better stamina.

In adition estrogen plays an important role in many functions in the body, like libido.
