You guys put "noobs" between a rock and a hard place
I've been a long time lurker and have finally decided to post because I'm getting frustrated more and more.
I've been researching "supplements" for a few months because I want to know everything I can about whatever it is I end up putting into my body. However, several factors are making this difficult.
1. I do not want to approach anybody in my gym about drugs/supplements. There are far too many people who know what I do for a living, and I do not want a reputation of a "druggie"
2. I want to learn all I can online, but googling usually gives me thousands of shill sites with slick "this will turn you into a hulk in 48 hours" campaigns. Waste of time.
3. I come to a forum hoping to get advice from experienced users, but I see how they treat newcomers. Every moderator/long-term member is either pushing their own site, or has a big "don't ask me for sources" as their signature.
And so ... forum members, I ask you, what the fuk good is a forum if you're not willing to teach the uninformed?
I need information on a proper cycle and a good source. I know testosterone is the basis of all cycles, I know that I need an AI, and I know that PCT is important. I understand about needing to protect my liver. I also know there are THOUSANDS of products out there that say they do everything better than everyone else.
I also know there is more than one way to skin a cat. So I understand that different people will have things that worked better for them.
So, now I ask ... why is it so freakin hard to get someone to recommend a decent source?

Everybody here is willing to help the uninformed. It is all about how the people go about asking their questions. It is also that a lot of new members do not use the advice that they are given.
A source check works like this. You become a member of the forum for a few months. Get in some quality posts. Then you run a source by a mod and he will tell you if you are g2g. Some mods stopped doing them. Nobody is going to just give you their source. Sorry bro, it doesn't happen like that. There is this thing called "protection", which some people like to implement to guarantee the longetivity of their source

That actually makes sense. Thanks.
And to clarify ... I NEVER said that this forum is not informative. For those unable to comprehend (eg PistolStarta) you can go back and read my original post several times to look for any such statement. What I did say is that it is frustrating looking for a source.
Anyway, now I know what I have to do.

MisterMaster, that does not mean to go into the AR Lounge and make random posts. I believe that the Mods and Vets want to see that you are willing to research, and that you know what you are getting yourself into. People can tell this from your posts

I know most people who come to forums are here because they want the easy way out. I run my own forums (not on AAS, but on programming and medical teaching) and I see far too many "how do I blah blah blah" and not enough "I've tried such-and-such and I have a problem with blah blah blah". Anyway, I know forum regulars get tired of these can-you-do-it-for-me posts.
But I cannot hide my discouragement at seeing far too many signatures that clearly indicate a lack of desire to help with a main problem when dealing with such an underground topic such as AAS.
And I'm sorry if I came out a little harsh or too "wordy".
By the way, a good signature could be "Show that you're making an effort to learn, and I'll guide you the rest of the way"

this is one of my favorite rules, I phrased it myself.
2. DO NOT post asking where to get steroids. This includes what we call "fishing", which is any post stating that you have a desire to find steroids and you are having trouble finding them. This rule is broken a lot, fishing here will not be tolerated.
