    Swelling after injection

Hey guys. I recently did an injection of test c in my glute. It was my second injection of my first cycle. It hurt alot for the day after. Just like i got punched in the ass or something. The pain went away in a day or 2. Its been 4 days since the injection. It doesnt really hurt but there is a fair bit of swelling near the injection site. It is not directly at the site but starts about a half inch away from it and is about the size of my fist. It is not red nor itchy and is not sore where it is swollen. It kinnda feels a bit puffy. The injection sit is a bit sore (feels like a old bruise, nothing bad). I am worried I have an infection. My first shot was in the glutes and was all good, and i have done a third shot in my shoulder which is all good as well. Do you guys have any feedback on this.

PS. I had a buddy do the shot for me. He has done about 6 cycles. We used a new needle and swabbed everything with alcohol swabs. We used a 1" needle.

Thanks guys. Iv been reading this forum for quite a while now and know you guys have good advise. Il introduce myself and list my stats after this question is answered.

When I was reading over my post again it appears I may have lead the swelling appear bigger than it is. It covers about the same area of my fist but is not the same thickness. I didn't want you guys thinking i had a baseball sized bulge on my ass. It is puffed out a bit and almost looks like I have more muscle on that size of my ass than the other.

    Thanks guys.

I always get swelling that lasts for several days in every spot I inject except shoulders. Every now and then, I get pain for a few days too. That's pretty normal. Things you want to pay attention to are redness, and fever. One way I gauge a troubled injection site is, if it gets a little better each day or a little worse. After a couple of days pain and swelling should start to go away. If it continually gets worse after a few days, you should see a DR.

Icing the area helps to relieve the swelling. Don't heat it!

Hey thanks. I used a hot compress on it last night and massaged it for a while. The swelling is way down now. It was just a bit weird because yesterday was the first day I noticed swelling which was 4 days after the injection. It all good now tho. Thanks for the help.
