when people say time on + pct = time off...
Is this usually just to be "safe"? Or does the average recovery really take about 18 weeks, assuming a 12 week cycle and 4 week pct? I am trying to get a blood test within the next few days to see if I can start again soon, but if my levels are off, I will obviously have to wait it out. Wouldn't the milder and shorter the cycle = less time off? Of course every human being's recovery patterns are different, but what have you guys noticed about your own personal recovery's, based on blood tests?

It's just a general recommendation....wait 5 weeks or so after your pct is done and get bloodwork, that's the only empirical evidence you'd have to determine recovery.

which leads me to my next question: is there some sort of hotline or web site I can go to where I can schedule a blood test? I have no idea where to go and how to go about getting one. I haven't even been to a doctor for a checkup in 5 years. Do I ask for a "blood test" and they will automatically know what to do?

Ok, dont flame me for my cycle, but it was my first and i wanted to get a jist o how to cycle, and plus i did a lot of research on short cycle.
I did a 4 week test p and var cycle, and now doing a 4 week PCT. So does that mean i can start a proper 12week cycle in 8 weeks after my PCT, after i check blood tests an everything.

Thanks heaps. But just curious, if we put our HTPA under such stress during cycles, then we let them rest, why do we kill them again finally after they recovered, then do it over and over. Do they get used to it and begin to recover faster?
Yeh walk into the doctor, and ask for those panels tested. He will then write up a page that is to be taken to a blood drawing site (usually in the hospital or medical center), they check the paper work, take out the necessary amount of vials of blood, then send them off to a specialist for testing. takes 5min (minus the 5 hours waiting time in the fcuking doctors office)

ok so I will
1. go to a doctor
2. ask for a blood test and make sure my testosterone and estrogen levels are checked
3. come to this site and post the results
4. wait for you guys to make sense of it
5. determine whether I can do another cycle or wait
thanks!

Print that off and give it to the doc and DEMAND he test them, most will be like, "these tests are a waste of your time" but THIS IS YOUR HEALTH AND LIFE, so we all want to make sure your in good health.

Nope, and if they do go to another doctor.
Doctors can sometimes be egotistic, if they think they are right, then THEY are right. It gets annoying.
If that is the case then search for a blood testing or haematological lab. Call them up and tell them you want a test, they will not refuse at all,and will test for anything you want.

once you get your results, and remember, when you tell your doctor to take those test, demand that he give you a copy of the results, they are YOUR results, and you are legally 100% entitles to have them.
once you get them, check them with this link below, it shows every test and what the normal blood levels are for men and women at a certain age. If your levels are not in that range then post a thread asking for help.
ALL you need to know about bloodwork
Hope i helped.
Have a great night,

ok Just scheduled a full physical/checkup that comes with a full blood panel that will check my test and estrogen levels. How much blood do they draw out and is it painful? Will I feel weak and tired for the rest of the day?

lol is it that obvious? i want to do a cycle around now-ish, so that it can be over right before I go on a cruise in mid-april. I get my levels tested on friday morning. if they arent normal, I would have to wait until right after my cruise mid-april to do another cycle, which would suck. Here's to me praying my recovery is fast.
oh and should I try to refrain from telling the doctor i was injecting test? just in case my levels are not normal and he asks why...

Really? Why the fcuk would they do that? its you blood. Im sorry but that's wrong, here in Australia i can check anything i want.
Im in the same boat as you... but im going to man up and tell him i did a cycle and tell him to lecture me about it, that was he will be able to monitor me better. You will not get in trouble at all, he just might lecture you, just lecture him back =).
and no you wont feel dizzy after they take your blood, ive done it countless of times, and i even hit the gym like an hour after. And its painless.... i mean your shooting test right? so you know what a needle feels like, =)Last edited by Mr.Rose; 01-06-2010 at 12:04 AM.
