Rectal bleeding (known medically as hematochezia) refers to passage of bright red blood from the anus, often mixed with stool and/or blood clots. Most rectal bleeding comes from the colon, rectum, or anus. The color of the blood during rectal bleeding often depends on the location of the bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. Generally, the closer the bleeding site is to the anus, the blood will be a brighter red. Thus, bleeding from the anus, rectum, and the sigmoid colon tend to be bright red, whereas bleeding from the transverse colon and the right colon (transverse and right colon are several feet away from the anus) tend to be dark red or maroon colored.

based on that; since his blood is bright maybe he busted something in the rectum from straining because of increased blood pressure?

possible, or moving an extremely large stool can do it too. It actually tears your anus.

    lol

if its just a patch or small amount i wouldnt worry

i get this sometimes when i increase my calories heavily (on 5000 atm) when on cycle

i find the amount of times you go for a crap (due to the heavy food intake) gives me a little blood, but nothing serious

had it checked out also and DR just told me when you eat that much, ur anus wasnt meant to cope with that many calories daily

but i dont know what your calorie comsumption is

if it aint ridiclous prob should get it checked out just to be safe

I overdosed on antibiotics one time and I ended up with bloody diarrhorea (scared the shit out of me). I remember one time I got up off the pot and the toilet was just full of blood.

    Any stomach discomfort?

I was passing blood but also had a lot of stomach discomfort. It ended up being Ulcerative Colitis. Always a chance it's roids (hemorrhoids). I would get it checked. Every had a colonoscopy?

Without an examination you are just not going to know.

But I can commonly happen from the anus due to dry enviroment or large hard waist.

I had internal hemmorrhoids that busted and bled like crazy. Man, it's scary seeing all that blood in the toilet.

Go get checked out, probably nothing, but could be something. There is no way of knowing without seeing a doctor.

If this helps when i was on keto for the first 2 times, i never had my FIBRE up to a satisfactory level....

i'm talking painfulll and slightly bloodly toilet visits....

but that was only because i didnt get enough fibre in.. now when i do keto, i always make sure my fibres up!

that could help, but yeah go get it checked out

From what I understand bright blood is better. The brighter it is, the closer the wound is to your...exit. Could just be a hemorrhoid, that was the case for me, but best to get it checked out.

Could be anything,,,maybe just an anal fissure from not enough fiber in your diet. Bright blood is a good sign actually,,,its the dark,,nasty blood that screams you have a serious problems. You should see a doctor immediately though either way.

no and this is only my opinion. I developed U/C about 8/9 years ago and just started cycling a couple of years ago

if the blood is dark its a good sign of a tumor or internal bleeding.

ive noticed this to, dunno if its linked to anabolic steroid usage,

but researching it ive found its not comman for people to get it either

yet its very very comman on this board

maybe theirs some other factors that come into play that might contribute to this trend

I hate when people ask a question, say they are going to the doctor and never respond with what the issue was.

same as cream for piles, have had both, fukn painfull and took 3mths for fissure to heal. OP, bright red would indicate piles, but go get it checked

I had the same thing and it comes and goes with me. My dr. said it was internal hemmroids because its a bright red color. He gave me some medicine to take, but since they don't bother me I never really took it all the way like I should've.

If you have blood in your stool and it is not something visually obvious the next step for most Dr's would be to send you for a colonoscopy(very painless and easy by the way).

Hey guys, I went in for a colonoscopy the other week. Throughout the procedure I was drugged up and the doctor had both hands on my hips. Is this normal?
