    Talking hcg for weightloss?

My moms doctor wants to put her on daily low dose hcg shots for weightloss...I googled it and there seems to be a split between it being a good idea or a bad idea...what are your thoughts?

guy who invented this claims that hcg allows you to burn stubborn fat and not feel hungry when on a very low cal diet(vlcd).
it means hcg itself does not cause the weight loss. you lose weigh because of the 500-600 cal diet you follow. hcg helps you with the hunger, low energy and muscle loss.
i have tried it some time ago and i felt the hunger and had low energy. i know my hcg was not fake but it is possible that it didnt work because i keept it cold only after i mixed it.

What country are you in? I ask because it isn't FDA cleared for human use in the US, so a doc could never prescribe it.

Sounds like BS to me. Hcg is shock sensitive and must be refrigerated once reconstituted, so it would be all FUBAR unless the pharmacy reconstitutes it for her immediately beforehand.
