    Test Enanthate+?????

    Hello Everybody. Ok, I am now at 190 lbs (256 lbs a year ago), approximately 14% BF, still 5'11, 42 years old, working out 5 to 6 days a week - heavy lifting 3 times a week, big time cardio + light weights 2 or 3 times a week. Diet consists primarily of high protein, fair carbs, very low fats. Lots of chicken, tuna, egg whites, veggies, brown rice, protein shakes, etc.

    I have used Test (Cypionate not Enanthate) by itself at 500mg a week x 12 weeks (first cycle 6 months ago).

    Goal: To gain a little bit more muscle (not a lot) but be able to retain most of my gains.

    I just did my second shot of a new cycle, prescribed and under MD supervision, of Test Enanthate at 220mg/ml per week. When I used Test Cypionate I gained a good amount of muscle weight (water) but lost most of it when I finished the cycle. I want to be able to retain muscle gained a bit more than I did the last time. So my three questions are:

    1- What is the best gear, combined with Test Enanthate, to retain most of the gains? Anabar, Winstrol, other? Not looking for huge bulking then losing it all, instead looking for mild gains that will stay after cycle. If possible, gear that is less damaging to the liver and/or other organs.

    2- Is Test Enanthate at 220mg a week (combined with something else) enough, or should I up the dose, and f so, up to what?

    3- If you make a recommendation, could you please (very briefly if you want) indicate what, what dose, when to start/stop within the current Test cycle?

    My MD is a young, cool guy, whom I told my intentions to possibly up my Test dose or add gear to it. He understands my right to chose what I do with myself.

    Any and all advice is welcome. In advance, I sincerely thank you for any help you may be able to offer me.

    I'm still new to all this but researching for my own cycle which I will be starting in a few weeks consists of 500mg Test-E weekly. From what I've read (again i'm new to this, a vet member is sure to chime in to add more info) using anything less than 300mg of test e is pointless since your shutting down your natural test production and just replacing it with what your body would produce anyway. I'm also front loading weeks 1-4 with dbol (40mg a day). Will also be taking liv52, letro on hand for gyno during cycle and pct of clomid & nolva for 4 weeks. My goals are similar to yours, i lost alot of weight and now want to bulk up a bit, nothing crazy and keep what I get out of my cycles. Hope this helps, people on these boards are great and will def stear you in the right direction.

    You will never keep all of your gains from a cycle once you get off. Pct is used to get your body back to normal hormone levels as quickly as possible so that you can keep as much as possible. Inknsteel is correct with that low dose,. That is a trt or cruise dose, therefore i wouldn't personally run it less than 500mg's a week. If you are looking for another chemical that can give dry lean gains, then anavar is a pretty mild compound that will help keep the water weight/bloat down from the test.

    Inknsteel was also right with saying to pct with clomid and nolvadex. Keeping letro on hand for any gyno flare up is always a good idea. But if you are going for dry gains, then dbol is not what i would have recommended... It causes bloat in most people that use it. (it does for me too). But if you run dbol for the first 4 weeks then run var or clen towards the end then either of those should reduce most water retention.

    Again, the best way to keep as much of your gains as possible is
    1-diet: Make sure your diet is dialed in with the guys from the diet section
    2-pct: Make sure you run pct starting 2 weeks after your last shot of test e. Clomid and nolva should be fine for pct, some suggest hcg with it. Others don't think its a must have.
    3-workout: Try not to fall off when you are done with your cycle and quit lifting and dieting right. Train as hard or harder during pct and afterwards as well.

    I should have asked this first but, what are your stats?

    Yrs training?
    Cycle experience?

    why is your doctor prescribing you testosterone? that can help a lot, because if you have blown out your hypothalumus-pituitary system, than it may just keep you at bay.

    what are the reasons your doctor is prescribing you the test?

    You also state, (combined with something else)? well hell, that is the most ambiguos statement i've ever read. that could mean your taking another hard-core steroid or something light like winstrol.

    Thank you sir for your response and advice. I am set with my anti-estrogen (if needed) and have my PCT on hand. I will up my test to 500mg a week and see how it goes. Thanks again!

    Thanks for all the info sir, it is really-really helpful! I appreciate you guys taking the time to point me in the right direction. I can tell you guys know your stuff and are cool enough to help new comers. I am 42 years old, 5'11", 190 lbs, approximately 14% BF, weight lifting and cardio training (on and off) since I was a teenager, martial arts since I was 15 years old, MMA for 10 1/2 years now.
