Why does my ab keep cramping!?

Ok guys, so over the last 6 weeks I have lost about 20 pounds of fat, kept all strength and size just lost fat, and I haven't really worked on abs till recently. I noticed that every time i isolate my abs my lower left one cramps up and moves up over my rib! And it hurts like hell!! Is their something I should add to my diet to stop this? It happened to me tonight when I was dong crunches and leg lifts, and on Monday while doing planks, and crunches.

what supplements are you taking? Usually when I take clen my muscles cramp up a lot (especially abs!) Take taurine, that may help out... it helped with mine. Also make sure you are drinking enough water... I drink at least 1 gallon a day if not 1 1/2

Lol, I'm suffering from the same exact thing except for me it's my lower right ab. I'll do just one set of abs and I could be resting just sitting there and then out of nowhere just cramps, locks up crazy. I started using 2g of taurine a day and going to see if it'll help.

Ab cramping was found in a 1976 study to be a sign of severe homosexuality. sorry there is no cure.

    ^^^^^lmao.

Op- try the taurine and if not that then potassium should help. I don't take taurine so i don't know if it has potassium in it, but i bet if it does its not enough to stop cramps right away? They say that bananas stop cramps almost instantly upon ingestion? Give it a try

    good luck,

I would bet its the water intake like some of the other replies above.

    Increase water and electrolite intake.

could be a potassium deficiency. bananas, citrus fruits and salt substitutes should help
