How far in should the needle be pushed when injecting into the buttocks muscle?

All the way, 3 1/4 ? half way?

Just go in all the way. Otherwise, if you are like me (unflexable), the needle can find itself slowly going in and out as you are injecting.

thanks, i know that you can not put it in far enough but wasnt 100% sure you could go 'too far'

As long as you use a 'trusted' brand of needles. Some people worry that it will break off under their skin if they inject too deeply. I do not worry about that. If I was to ever take steroids, I would go with Terumo

All the way man. Looks like you have the right needle size. Just make sure that youre keeping it still when your pushing the fluid in, dont want to build up scar tissue.
