Filter for Glass Amps

Does everybody that uses glass amps use a filter pin? I've never used glass amps before, so I'm not sure if the the filter pin is needed.

i asked that same question a while back and nearly everyone said they dont use them...if u ask a nurse theyd tell u theyre necessary but i dont think its that big of a deal. besides theyre freakin expensive man

I was just looking and they are like $30 for one, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. If that's right, man I might just have to go with the other brand that is not glass amps. That's a whole other topic. A good UGL without glass or HG with glass and no filter?? Can't wait to see what people post

never used filters - always used glass amps.
I just make sure I score the amp nicely.
Break it cleanly.
Look for any shards in the oil.

I've been using amps since the beginning and never had a problem and i never filter.

Ive used amps for 20+ yrs and never have injected any glass. A filter isnt needed. The glass doesnt break that fine typically.

If you are worried, do this.

Get a sterile 100mL vials with stopper and everything.

get a 50mL syringe, one by one break of each amp and draw it into the 50mL syringe.

After you have drawn all the oil, attack the filter, attach a new syringe, and then filter the contents of the syringe into the vials.

done and done.

but thats a HUGE waste of time.

just pop each vial one by one the day your supposed to inject
