post office problem
So, my friend got a package from his friend and the recipient's name was spelled incorrectly. Because it was "registered mail" the post office won't let my friend have the package. What should he do?

have the "friends friend" resend it with the right name. Or you could just call your source and have him ask to have the package returned.

Try again tomorrow. Maybe there will be someone else working the post office that will understand that the name was just "accidentally" misspelled.

Sender says they may not be able to receive the package back even if it gets returned to them because their name is misspelled also. Maybe things will work out tomorrow. My friend said they were pretty insistent about it being the correct person though.

Dude, talk to your regular mailman. Explain to him the mistake that was made and I bet the guy will deliver it to you. Don't ask a clerk at the PO; they're idiots. Normally they'll keep a registered locked in the safe for 2 weeks before returning it. Find your mailman tomorrow, tell him about the misspelling and you have a real good chance of redelivery. Then sign when he comes the next day. Only your regular mailman will be able to help you at this point

So, again today my friend talked to the same worker at the post office that has given him a misspelled package previously and she said that this time since it was registered mail she didn't want to do it. Her manager didn't want to give it over either.
Your idea about talking to the mailman is a good one except that I don't trust my mailman. He seems like the type that would make phone calls about suspicious stuff. Last week when he came to attempt delivery and talked to my friend he was acting sketched out about having packages coming from a certain country.
*sigh* my friend is pissed at his friend because he was unaware that registered mail would be used to send this shit.
