    Question Is there a Replacement/Substitute for HCG?

    i have seen Menotrophin, Follitropin alpha, FSH/LH, Urofollitrophin, and Tetracosactrin Acetate.

    All are under this category:
    --> Endocrine System:
    ------> Hypothalmic and Pituitary Hormones and Anti-oestrogens
    -----------> Anterior Pituitary Lobe hormones

    Would they work as HCG?

    Menotrophin - Its used in males for fertility. It indeces spermatogenesis.

    Follitropin alpha - Used in fertility in females. Its a recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone.

    FSH/LH - We know what they are...

    Urofollitrophin - Urofollitropin contains follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). The combination of FSH and luteinizing hormone (LH) stimulates follicular growth and maturation Chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), whose actions are nearly identical to those of LH, is administered following urofollitropin treatment to mimic the naturally occurring surge of LH that triggers ovulation. - Source: drugs.com

    Tetracosactrin Acetate - Is used to find the cause of certain hormonal problems ie; Cortisol.
