Recovering from surgery : What steroids should I take?

Hey guys, I am new to the forum and any advice would be much appreciated. Here is my story.

I am 30 years old and I dislocated my shoulder while throwing a baseball. I had labrum surgery 3 months ago and recovery has been very slow. I am looking to take steroids to help in the recovery process, but most importantly strengthen the shoulder so I do not re-injure the shoulder joint/labrum/rotator cuff. I would also like to increase my lean muscle and cut fat. I love to trow and play baseball, but my main reason for having surgery on my arm is so I will be able to throw pain free, play golf, and eventually throw to my kid one of these days and teach him the game I love, baseball.

I am new to the world of steroids and I have been reading all of the information I can on this and other web sites so that I can do this correctly, but any specifics to my unique situation would help immensely.

Here are my specific questions, but please let me know if I have forgot anything important.

    1. What is a good cycle to meet my goals?
    2. What type of diet is suggested for the steroid cycle I will be on?
    3. What type of substances should I take when I quit taking steroids to help regain my normal testosterone level?

Your help is appreciated and thank you in advance for your advice.

You obviously have not been reading enough, because it is not recommended to take steroids in the "recovery" phase. You should only consider taking AAS when training at 100%. REad up more and train hard to get your strength back from your injury. DO NOT TAKE AAS WHILE RECOVERING!!!!! If you do take steroids it can and probably will lead to reinjury of your shoulder.

Steroids will not develop your rotator cuff. It will develop your skeletal muscle. That will cause an imbalance to an already-existing condition. Basically, Like JScondition said, it will lead to another injury

Okay, point taken. After it heals what should I take to strengthen and prevent re-injury? Guys, I am obviously a novice and that is why I am asking for help. Ridicule me if you like, I am just looking to get pointed in the right direction.

Your best bet is to let it heal on it's own and then start doing some exercises to strengthen the muscles around your joints.

Taking a steroid to help prevent a reinjury could be counter productive. You'll definately get stronger and it sounds like a good thing but you could end up reinjuring yourself going a bit heavier.....

I'd let it heal and then find out some good excercises to do some light strengthening. Steroids may be an option later on once completely healed but for the purpose of bodybuilding.....

if you were to take anything to help the healing process hgh would possibly be beneficial. Its expensive though and needs to be ran at least 6 months to see benefits. check out the hgh forum section.

I am definitely not saying to pursue using the juice to help with recovery process. However, what bigkuntry said isn't totally correct. Rotator cuff is skeletal muscle. Rotator cuff is just the name of the group of muscles that hold the head of the humerous into position during functional movement. So juice would enhance the rotator cuff strength but at this point your cuff is so weak all you would do is tear your labrum again. Rotator cuff weakness is likely the reason you tore your labrum in the first place. Hope this was helpful. Dont waste you time on juice if you can't push your body 1000%

Look into peptides (hgh, grf/ghrp, IGF-1, and MGF).

What I don't understand...for example,..there is a guy who trains with my friend at the gym and he says when he is on Test cyp he feels great and recovery is awesome. When he goes off cycle he gets all depressed and says his joints are sore and recovery sucks.

I know someone in Strongman who tore there pec and was using D-BOL and recovered so fast I was like WTF..they were like full Strength in a month from the injury.

Seems like I am the only one using no gear and plagued by dumb nagging injuries that never heal fully and hold me back from training to the max.

    I just started GH BTW.

Another dude in the IGF/GH forum said to combine Anavar with GH for maximum healing/recovery from an injury.....I dunno anymore...I just no it seems like dudes using gear are always bouncing back from injuries quick.

Thanks for the information HOLLYWOOD85. You are 100% correct about the weak rotator cuff leading to my labrum tear. I had rotator cuff surgery 10 years ago and after years of physical therapy and subluxations caused by repetitive throwing I eventually tore my labrum. This leads me to why I writing on this forum. I have had a history of shoulder injuries due to weak shoulder muscles. For the past 10+ years I have been working out these muscles with personal trainers and in physical therapy and I keep getting re-injured. Once my rehab is complete and I have full range of motion and strength then what would you suggest I use to increase my overall body and shoulder strength to prevent another repeat injury?

We'll if you are totally set on doing a cycle I would stick with just straight test. You will have people tell you that deca will help with the shoulder but it will just be temporary relief. As soon as you come off of the deca it will go back to the same pain. I would suggest to make sure you make a full recovery and then some before considering the test. Since you have subluxed the shoulder once you will more than likely do it again. So if you do the juice don't worry so much about pushing the heavy weight. Focus on form and your back muscles. Dont get caught up in the Look how much I can bench phase. That will only further stress your cuff. Form form form in the gym is what your focus should be on man.

you dont need steroids to heal.....IMO maybe a cycle of HGH while building your muscle memory and then onced healed then look into a steroid cycle...

GH is ok, i guess.. never aided me in any type of recovery.. in fact when i upped my doses not only did i hurt in my torn muscle (i ripped my pec'major where it ties into the connective tissue) but my joints started gettin tissy w/ me. IMO.. you need to take

168hrs/wk of Resterol for about 6weeks

about 5hrs/wk of Rehabadrol to help w/ the u can find these on the internet in detailed information of how to perform said excrecises for injured location.

and eat super clean w/ lots of EFA foods
