I'm 27, Male, 5'8, 185lbs, have done a moderate amount of AAS, and been lifting consistently for many years. I had just started a bulking cycle of 750mg/wk sust for 10 weeks with 100mg/day anadrol for the first 5 weeks. 3 weeks in, feeling great and in the best shape of my life, I completely tore my left pectoralis major while doing flat bench barbell presses with 315lbs. I completely tore the tendon from both the bone and the muscle. I had surgery 6 days after the injury and right now it has been about 3 weeks since the operation.
What I need help with is advice on where to go from here from people who are unbiased in the use of AAS. It will be quite a while before I can even think about lifting again, but i was wondering if there is anything I can take or add to a cycle in the future to help strengthen my joints/tendons/ligaments?
Has anyone else had this injury and how well have you recovered?
Also, how do the pros know that fine line between training intense enough for maximum results without going too far and sustaining an injury like mine? I thought the program I followed was rock solid, as I have always gotten great results and rarely feel like I've over trained.
Right now I am just bummed out and looking for any help or advise I can get. Sitting on the couch nursing this injury had been been a nightmare and I would appreciate any positive feedback I could get. Thanks and have a great day!
