Extraction from Vial

I felt like an idiot today.

After reading about and even advising someone else the best way to extract from a vial was to fill the syringe to amount req with air. Then inset to vial, pump air into vial and oil should fill barrel to req. amount!

Simple? Didnt work for me! Shall try again day after tomorrow... Anyone else have this problem? Is there a secret im missing?

That's right what you described.

There's no real secret to it, but you could try drawing with a larger gauge pin if you don't like waiting.

after you put the air in the vial. turn the vail upside down. make sure the tip of the needle is in the oil and pull back on the plunger to the amount you want. It doesnt just fill itself like you made it sound

It all depends on the pressure inside the vial...... more than likely you will need to draw the oil yourself.

Funny, I never inject air into my vials, when I draw the oil, bubbles always come up thru the injection spot.

WHat gauge pin were you using?

23g pin. 3g barrel.

I did press the pin into the vial, then turned it upside down with needle in liquid.

Then pulled back after nothing happened, and only a drop came down.. like normal. So I had to resort to slowly pumping it a number of times.

using 23g.. what would you suggest out of interest? Dont mind waiting but next time Im in town may pop into needle exchange.

i use a 20g to fill the needle and then switch to a 23 or 25g to inject. it will be a little faster with a 20 gauge

Just comes to show you shouldn't give advice if you yourself have never done it...... LMAO....

I would get a larger pin. I pull with a 21 gauge and switch to a 23/25 gauge to pin. Never any problems.
