sore, swollen & red injection site

my last injection was thurs pm. 1ml test e and 1ml eq.
now my leg hurts its swelled up and is kinda pink the whole quad... is it infectied?

ps.. this is the same leg i shot 3ml in a week before for the first time.. that wasnt too bad.. maybe its just catching up with me?

anyone know what this is and any advice..

sounds like it could be a possible infection, if it doesnt go away in a few days it mean it wasnt just a painfull injection and it could be infected.

if so best thing to do is see a doc and get some anti-biotics

Are you injecting in the same location? Make sure you always move to a new location.

How long is your needle? Are you cleaning the area good? Washing your hands? Cleaning the top of the vials?

Never clean the needle, dont wipe it off. It's already sterile and you are chancing contaminating it. It is also coated with a lubricant that makes it easier for injecting you will just wipe off.

I rotate legs but do almost daily injections, I do clean my hands and my leg but don't wipe the top of vial and I reuse the needle that I suck up with, is that ok... Could it just be that it's not dispursing from my thigh and kinda pooling in there. I massaged it a lot last night now it's s little better

I highly recommend you swab the top of the vial when drawing gear and i wouldnt re use pins

Yes i use a new one to draw with and a new one to pin with everytime.

dude you need to be using fresh sterile pins every time you draw up your dose! once a pin has been used its contaminated and should be safely thrown away. K

Also if your legg is red n blotchy you need to go to the doctor's and get some anitbiotics pronto please dont leave it to long! could be serious.

its actually getting a little better.. it wasnt blotchy, just a large pink circle but that has gone away and the swelling went down a lot.. it think maybe what i had injected just wasn't moving along and kinda pooling in my thigh.. iv been massaging it a lot and it seems to be helping... but thanks for the help.. and ill start using a new needle to draw with everytime now too

Same thing happened to me it was a slight reaction took some benadryl it went right away try that, if that doesnt work see a doc
