Ever had this happen before while trying to inject?
So last night I loaded up a syringe using an 18G pin then swapped it out to a BD 25G pin and sunk the pin in my quad. I then aspirated or thought I did atleast.... This is where it gets interesting, I start pushing on the plunger and nothing is happening so I of course keep trying and even change the way I`m holding the pin and try again. I eventually figured out that the pin was no good, the pin simply did not have a hole through it at all. Strange just thought I`d share my experience.

The only other time I saw something like this the pin shot out of the part that was supposed to hold it on (not the twisted part the part that isn`t supposed to come apart.)

Thanks for the info

Yeah I never woulda though of checking the needle before injecting. I guess if I ever swap needles before I pin I will make sure to check it out. Thanks for the heads up and sorry for your unnecessary pin lol.

LOL...no never had that happen. Tell you what though, today was pretty bad. I went through a few pins trying to get test-e into my quad. It's all scar tissue now and the pins don't want to go in! Guess it's time to switch back to my glutes.

I've lost an 23G 1" in my glute.
It wasn't fun. I have to get a local anesthetic and make a small slit to get it out. Defiantly was not fun.

Only when hitting scar tissue but never seen a syringe without a hole. I'll start checking from now on.

Hehe stpete - i think if you test the needle you plan to stick in yourself (ie let a drop or two roll out) you'll be fine.
And Im still not convinced a drop "lubricates" the pin and makes it easier to insert, but I do it nonetheless (and will be religious about it now..)

Pinned my glute yesterday...... it burnt like fire going in..... I aspirated..... and then went to push the plunger down and nothing. The plunger wouldn't go...... so i pushed harder..... and then WHAM - it went and it felt like a quick sharp stab deep into my glute when the oil finally went in. dunno wtf happened....

Thats what I thought but i've been making sure the area is completely dry for the past year LOL..... I have no idea wtf the issue was but it's making me rethink hitting that glute again. The last injection there was 2 weeks prior to this one too..... i don't get it.....
