getting crazy soreness on cycle after taking a week off?

My legs are so sore to the point I can't really walk today and yesterday (i worked them out 2 days ago). I was forced to take a week off because I got sick. It had been 1 1/2 weeks since I had trained legs. Is this normal? Obviously off cycle this happens all the time but I am on cycle so I thought this wasn't supposed to be as severe. week 9 to be exact

I think its pretty common. I sumtime take off a week which leads to muscles healing more than usual. A surpluss of cals. Good rest and recoop. Some times ill go back and lift alittle heavier sometimes not, but whatever I do I get soar. Lactic acid surpluss, deeper muscle fiber breakdown. Muscles that haven't healed are healed now and they get beat up again. But I love it it makes me feel like I've dun somethin besides take a break.

^yea I was just hoping that on cycle, I would be off the hook as far as the crazy DOMS goes. I literally can't bend my knees lol. I had to take an elevator downstairs to the locker room at my gym tonight since I can't walk down stairs!

when on a cycle, is DOMS less than when not roiding?

If so.. does that mean u should add more volume into ur workouts than usual?
