HELP! Swelling at injection site.

Ok...I had some trouble pinning today, couldn't get through the scar tissue. I attempted to go in a few different places, took 3 times to get it right. Used a new pin each time. Part of my right quad is swollen and tender/sore. There is no redness, warmth or any other odd sensations.

Is this just trauma for being stabbed too many times or is it something to worry about infection wise?

I followed standard injection protocol. Alcohol applied to vial and injection site. Swapped pins. Aspirated, etc.

How close to each other did you pin? When I run into that I have to move several inches away, no where even close to the first time.

sounds like trauma. Put some ice on it.

Well I utilized almost the entire length of my quad, but when you do it 3 times I imagine the trauma areas might overlap. I don't have to pin for another few days and I'll switch to my glutes for a while!
