Injection site is itchy = infection?

I had an infection previously in my quad from an inject. I remember the first sign was that it was really itchy after inject.

I am curious if anyone else has had this sign before as well?

I am a bit freaked as I just did an inject and its itchy as hell. Melanotan II.

I resisted the urge to scratch and the itching stopped after 15 minutes. If anything bad develops i'll let you guys know.
