    More/Less Calories While On Cycle?

Im 3 days in to my Var cycle. Ive had 3 fatnastic workouts, gained 10-20 lbs on majority of my lifts. I of course know this is all a placebo effect

Anyways. Im curious if because your receiving assistance from steroids should the amount of calories you would normally take in for a bulk or cut be increased/decreased?

    Example.

When I clean bulk I take my maintinence and increase it by an additional 300 in hopes for minimal fat gains and a steady 1.5-2lbs per month. However, does this change while cycling? Due to the steroids effect on your body ( obviously different per steroid ) does the old clean bulk of 300 surplus now become 600?

Likewise if you had to cut 500 cals a day to lose 1-2 lbs per week, once on cycle does that become 300 cals? ( once again obviously different per steroid ).

Obviously everybody is different and it will take some tinkering but it is my first cycle and I would like to get the most out of it so I would greatly appreciate views on this.

( I hope this can stay in the steroid Q n A section because I feel I will receive far more information based off first hand experiences )

Things change very much on aas. You recover quicker and utilize your calories more efficiently. Exactly how much in each individual is impossible to say. You need to experiment on yourself to see how you react to each different compound.

Think about it. 500 calorie surplus per day would be approx a lb gain in one week. I would bump it up a bit more to maybe 750 ED, theoretically giving you 1-1/2 lb per week increase. Train hard, you'll recover quicker. Monitor your progress. Maybe after a couple of weeks increase it a bit more.

Being that this is your first go around with any AAS, it will be a little more effective. Don't be afraid to eat more and take advantage of the var. You maybe be able to increase your calories substantially and not gain much fat.

Awesome response thank you very much. I was thinking about that last part you said a bit, about being more responsive sense its my first go with AAS. I meen there is no way in hell my bench can go from 225 for 4 reps to 245 for 6 reps in just 1 week from a placebo effect. I honestly feel like I am responding and gettin strength gains on my 2nd/3rd day on Var. Not just my compounds, ALL my lifts are up and im doing far more sets. I usually keep my time lifting around 60 minutes, 75 max... Now I am having to force myself out at 90 minutes because I feel like I can do more. I dont think a placebo effect is that strong! haha.

Anyways, I was going to start with 300 calorie surplus to keep my gains clean but after reading your post I will start with 500 and evaluate the changes in bodyfat in 2 weeks and most likely bump to 750.

Thanks again, always a plus when I get a response from you in particular.
