How do I go about using filters?

What filter do I need and how do I use it to make sure its 100% clean?

unless its one of those packets, there is no reason to put anything through a filter . either way,a .22 mm whatman filter is what you need, if you need it

Thanks for the reply. What would tiny particles in the vial indicate? Or is this the norm? Thanks
I've just heard of people using filters to avoid anything unwanted.
