Test E, First Injection this morning

Okay, i did my first injection this morning. I injected in my right quad. and i have a few questions. I had a 1.5 inch 23g needle. I pinned in the outer right quad, and when i was going in my muscle twitched. Is this normal? Also, when in jecting it was harder than I thought to inect the oil. I mean I had to press down HARD to get the oil going. And also it seemed to easy. Like after I was done i felt it should have been harder and im thinking maybe i didnt do it right, but im probably just overthinking it.

Sounds like your over thinking as you put it, injecting is extremely easy when done right...
Do not ask me for a source check.

You hit a nerve which can happen. When I hit a nerve I do feel a little more post injection pain for a couple of days. If you warm the oil it may be easier to inject. You do want to inject slowly though, but it shouldn't be that hard to push the plunger down.

Change that needle to 1" for quad. I think 1.5" is bit too long and when I used it, the pain lasted lot longer.

On my first shot, I thought it was slow too but thats how it is - its a tiny needle. I use 25 gauge needle for quad/delt and it actually helps me shoot slower. With 23, even though its slow, you can inject lot faster than it should be. If you're lucky, you won't feel too much tomorrow but if you're like rest of us, you'll feel the pain tomorrow - make sure you heat that area and massage them for 10 minutes (even now).

Yeah ive only ever once hit or come close to hitting a nerve in the quad and it kind of made me jump or twitch alittle, this is why its best to take your time...

For quads i use 1 1/4 inch 23g pins and i go about an inch in...

You're fine, man... Like someone said before, just go slowly.

    INJECTING FOR DUMMIES (haha):

    1. Sterilize very well (yes, this includes your hands. It's shocking how many people admit to not washing their hands before injecting. Personally, I've always worn gloves).

    GO SLOWLY

    2. Aspirate (air or bubbles=good; blood=bad)

    GO SLOWLY

    3. Inject SLOWLY

    5. Wait about 10-15 seconds after injecting before you start pullin out the pin.

    GO SLOWLY

    6. Apply pressure to the injection site to aid in clotting.

    7. Responsibly dispose of your biohazardous waste (aka anything that has blood on it or came I'm contact with te injection site).
