    Bdfa army powerlifting competition

Hi people im currently in the forces and currently on a cycle,

    Sus And Tren E,

There is a Army powerlifting competition coming up which i really want to take part in, only thing is its run in accordance with the drug free powerlifting assocation rules, so does any one know if that means i will get drug tested there?
obviously i dont wanna throw away my career for this competition, we get random piss tests any way but so far i been ok with these....

Any one got any more info on this??

There is always a possibility that they will drug test the winners of most of the catagories, however, i never got tested at any of my british army power lifting meets and neither did anyone else for that matter...

its really hit and miss, they might test you they might not, just dont turn up with traps touching you ear loabs and guns like arnold and you should be fine...

when i competed it was purely random testing, they picked names to test before even seeing the competitors on the day

oh one more thing, if you are british army that is, the piss tests they do in camp arent to test for steroids , they are for recreational drugs, they have to do actual steroids tests to see if your doing steroids and that would cost a fortune for a whole battalion...

i know loads of guys in the army who take steroids, not one of them has ever got caught, but, if they get a steroid testing team in your ****ed for sure, because as you know the army has a 0 tolerence to drugs, and that includes steroids...

yeah thanks for that, was thinking the same that the normal piss test is just for recreational drugs, but obvioulsy if there is a steroid team there and i get tested i will be up shites creak without a paddle!!!

Jus wondering with such a small competition if they will bother..... not sure if its a chance im willing to take tho!

There are many non testing powerlifting feds, (spf, ipa, ssa, etc....) I'd advise you don't risk it and go find a sanctioned meet with a fed that doesn't test.

Are you competing raw, single, or multiply ply? (not that it makes a difference drug wise just curious)

im pretty much new to the powerlifting scene bro, think you get 3 lifts and heaviest lift wins,
any way i think i will give the competition a miss, jus last year for my weight the max lift was only like 140KG , im doing that quite comfortable atm.

well it's usually 3 attempts at each lift. Sq,bp,dl, then the total of the best lift from each the sq, bp, dl. combined to make a total #. highest total =winner

It's a great sport. Most lifters will be willing to help you out. you should consider putting some time in to find local comps, and go for it. start in some raw comps and as you gain strength and experience you can move towards some gear. With some time and experience you'll hit numbers you never thought possible for yourself.

    Stay strong,
