Power Rack or Smith Machine !!?? ( Help )
Hey bros,
I have been on my search for a home gym...I posted earlier and I am down to two choices a power rack or a smith machine.
Can you all chime in on the pros and cons of each.. I have heard not to get a smith,,,,,but i also heard not to get a power rack..

id get the power rack. Smith machines arent bad, (i only use em for shrugs) but for the money/results youd probably be happier with a power rack in my opinion. In the end its really your choice
good luck

If you're consistently working out by yourself with heavy weights on incline presses and the like, I can see the benefits of a smith machine. But, that's really the only way i could justify one in my home gym.

POWER RACK!!! Smith machines limit your range of motion to a fixed plane.
They also limit your exercise selection. This shouldn't even be a debatable issue for a home gym senerio.

power rack. You're working more muscles stabilizing while using the power rack than a smith.

POWER RACK no question. Look at www.palmettofitness.com look und WSP. They don't havea pic of it but they have a bad ass power rack with band holes also. Jut contact them and ask for some info on their new rack. You'll be happy got one and i love it.
