glute injection problem

I have about a golf ball size know where I injected last thurday that is still very tender. It isnt red or puffy, I can just feel the knot. This is my 4th injection and everything prior had gone great. Any ideas what this knot is and should I be worried? Thanks

No I used the same area for my 2nd injection. Should I mix it up a bit and stick my legs then go back to the glute? I've never had this happen before and this is my 2nd cycle. Should I wipe the needle down with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol before the injection? That is wat I was told to do from my supplier.

Don't touch the needle before injection, the needle is already STERILE.
And rotate injection sites. Try and have atleast 5 days before you return to the same injection site...

Ok I'll try my thigh tonite. Any ideas why I have the golf ball size knot? It kinda makes me nervous.

A golf ball sized swelling... would make me nervous as well.
Wiping down the needle is a big "no-no" in I.M injection protocol. Injecting the same spot over and over again is also not advisable!

If you are really concerned make an appointment with your doctor.

bro, im a little biased here but ive had nothing but problems with pinning my glutes... i switched to delts and recently started hittin my quads and everything has been cool.. i was getting that golfball on about every other injection.. im not sure what causes this but if your pin isnt long enough, you could be going subq and it might be sitting in your skin

I personally wouldn't ever do a glute injection.
I've never read anything bad about it.
But everyone craps.
Every day usually.
Toilets are unsanitary and get dirty fumes dumped into them.
Once again that is just me using basic knowledge.
I haven't read that anywhere.

I was sticking with the glute bc i'm less likely to hit a nerve. If I hit a nerve in my thigh are we talking about crippling pain? I need to do another injection tonite and I think I'm gonna try my thigh. Any advice on avoiding nerves?
