Pin sizes
Hey guys, just a question about pin sizes.
My store supplies pins to the public and is one of the only ones in my city. We carry 22G, 23G, 25G and was just wondering if 25 5/8's is fine for every blend and site other than glutes, because we have alot of guys buying 22G for the delts and such that often complain about it but have been told to use such.
I would love a detailed feedback if possible

Seems like he answerred what you asked, but I'll try a little more. Drawing through a 25g takes forever for most oil based gear and 5/8's is not deep enough for anything really aside from delt, bi's. tri's etc. I would not personally use that length if I were shooting more than 1mL as its sure to let a lot come back out.
I draw with a 21, inject with a 25 after warming the syringe. If this isnt what you are asking, please be more specific

I'm not entirely concerned with the drawing as our custys use 18G's. I know that 23G 1 inch is for glutes, but for other sites I want to be able to recommend the 25 5/8's to users to avoid the added discomort of a 22G. I just want to know if I'm wrong in any way with giving said advice
The concern mostly that I'm thinking is with Oil vs. Water based blends and whether there should be a difference with such and G sizes

Hard to say, for a first time cycle, 5/8 may work, but more muscular guys will need at least 1". Thats the shortest I use. 1.5 for quads and glutes.

So I should be using a larger pin as well? I use 25 5/8's for delts and 23 1" for glutes.
Is it only necessary to increaes tip length if the substance leaks out of the tissue post injection?

I wouldnt use that as your only judge of depth. The deeper you go can be benficial in a few ways.
1) it ensures you hit a good slab of quality muscle (unless theres too much fat and in that case you should be cycling)
2) better chance of not injecting into a vein deeper in
3) the deeper you go, the more gear you can pump in, but I typically cap each inject @ 2mL

So would an 18 @ 1" for drawing and 23 @ 1.5" for injecting (glutes and quads of course)?

the G on the pin will make a big difference if ur usin an oil base. i find (when injecting for my x) that when he switched to 22g from 25.. it was a lot easier. it just took me forever to push everything thro that needle. 22g is bigger so it just slide and was fast.

18 rapes your vial. I was given an 18g 1.5" and went through the motions of getting it all ready, and nearly shit myself when i went to push it in. you can stick coins down that hole!
try a 20g to draw. the rubber seals good after it. Doesnt matter if it falls over. The 18g made it leak a little each time I withdrew it.
To answer the thread question, 25g is a bitch to draw, like a waste of time. With a 23g, you can get the gear in without any fuss. I believe it is the best size when comparing pain/anxiety vs ease of injecting.
23g isnt much different from 22g, but perhaps the guys not enjoying the delt shots should try the glutes or quads?
Quads are easy, and glutes are almost painless.
12g? damn, what ever happened to cutting open the leg and pouring it into the wound? we are soft.

I've been using a 25G / 1" needle since I started my 1st cycle about 5 weeks ago. I really haven't had a problem drawing out of the vile either. I pump about a full 3 cc's of air into the vile and when I pull the plunger back (it is hard to pull) it fills 1 cc of sust250 in about 30 seconds. When I inject in the quads (top outside area) I take about 30 seconds to push the needle in leaving about 1/8th of an inch exposed in case the needle breaks off. I take about 45 seconds to inject 1cc. I get no leakage what so ever and not a trace of pain post injection. When I 1st started I was pushing the needle in real fast and injecting the liquid fast also. The result was a very painful injection area for 4-5 days to the point that I thought something was wrong until I searched the subject on this site and learned that slow is better. Sorry for the long winded answer but I though I would provide a detailed description of my technique because this topic seems to come up very often. I hope this helps anyone experiencing pain.
