I don't see the logic behind it.
One thing might be ATP (energy) production and another amplified androgen receptor activation and modulation.
Maybe you could support your ideas by posting that article you're mentioning... And we'll see the relation between both things, if any.

I started my creatine two weeks before my last pin and ran it for only four weeks after. That was a mistake, I lost most of my gains three weeks after and the rest when finnished with the creatine. Next time I'm gonna run the creatine much longer after the cycle.
