friend wanting to use me like class project
I want to first start off by saying hello to everyone. The reason for me joining and writing this post is I have a friend who is into bb but on a very entry level and recently he decided to get me envolved. I had never lifted before other than I'm a construction worker. I've always been a naturally strong man at 6'1 and 215. 27yrs old. He is trying to get me to start cycling on deca test and d bol on my very first day at the gym he says I will b a monster after only a few months. I am a very committed person so I would stick with the diet and training but my question is should I start cycling my first day working out? I don't know the doses he is wanting to give me or anything about steroids in general so any help would be great as I would love to get into lifting. Thanks

Bro, I'm sorry but your friend is a damn moron. The answer is NO.. you don't want to start cycling on your 1st day of working out. You obviously don't know anything about what you're putting into your body and I'm sure you don't know anything about PCT or dieting either.
What is your bf%. You need to spend a lot of time here reading and stay in the gym and reach your natural potential before you consider gear. Reaching your natural potential if you've never worked out before will take a lot of time.
Again, no offense but your friend is an idiot for putting you at risk like this. You did the right thing by coming on here to find our for yourself.
Peace,

No, definitely do not start using AAS your first day in the gym.
You need to work out naturally for at least a year, build a solid foundation, and naturally strengthen your joint, tendons, etc, before using.

sounds like an incredibly bad idea!!!! would you let your buddy decide what you were gonna eat or drink without knowing more???? there could be SERIOUS health implications with doing something like that. Even when done "correctly" AAS can have serious negative effects. sounds like a total shthead to me, and he definately doesnt have your health in mind. In fact if someone said they wanted to do that with me i would seriously consider giving them an ass kicking. you admitedely know nothing about AAS or working out and he knows maybe slightly more (if hes lucky) tell him to fck off, stick around here, read, research and learn if you are considering AAS. Make the smart decision.

14% bf... I was worried he was trying to get me in over my head. You guys are right about one thing I am really considering giving him a beating. As for the postwould I put something in my body that I am unsure of just because a friend says to. Friends are supposed to care about eachothers safety and look out for them. I guess I need to choose friends more wisely. Honestly though I doubt I will get much bigger no matter what I do. I'm built like an orangutang. Long as hell arms so it would take forever to notice them grow and I'm barrel chested and very broad shouldered. Would I look funny?

Your friend is obviously ignorant of the true effects of aas.. I'm sure he didn't intentionally intend to steer you into harm. But, on the other side of the coin, show him this site and advise him to read up and learn as well.
Good luck man.. tons to learn here.. enjoy and all the best.

It may just be that your friend is ignorant. People don't understand what steroids really do to their body. Some guys can abuse them for years and years and walk away with no problems..... others can run one cycle and end up on TRT for life.
If you're interested in using them..... the best thing you can do is stay on this site and learn. It's going to take you a while to truely understand the ins and outs...... but the whole time you are learning...... you should be trying to perfect your diet and training. You'd be surprised how much progress you can make without the use of steroids.

I really appreciate the advice everybody. I think I will start trying to workout and see where I can go naturally for awhile and stick around this site and see what I can learn and maybe in a few years take it to the next level. Any suggestions on a workout routine and or diet? I'm very new to all of this and I have no idea where to start. Sorry for the ignorance of all my questions I'm just trying to learn

If you cycle without having been working out several months / years you greatly increase the risk of injury.

365lbs. I always figured I could lift more but my brother in law said that's really good for my first time. He is in college now but i guess hes been lifting the last year and a half or so. The little shit wont tell me how much he can lift so i dont know if im doing ok or if im to old to just now get started. I just got back from the gym where a Guy there was showing me some of the machines and how the work and proper form with free weights. Looks like I have a new hobby.

That's what I was worried about that I was getting to late of a start lifting in life. I don't know why I can't lift more. I grew up on a farm working like a dog my whole life. I trully thought I could do more. What would be average for a beginner my size? The Guy at the gym told me to do cardio and work out my legs and it'll make the rest of my body grow do to the release of endorphins. If that's true or not I don't know. He told me I had small legs and my upper half wont allow its self to out grow my lower half. I did learn one good lesson don't workout ur legs to fast. I threw up then I couldn't hardly walk little lone push the clutch in on my truck to drive so I had to call the wife to come get me.

365lbs. Just one time. I bought an Olympic weight set at a garage sale and that's all the weight it had. I know I wouldn't have got anymore weight up though because I barely lifted that. My back was popping and I got extremely light headed. I wont ever lift like that home alone again. Yeah the wife was pissed because she has to wake up at 430am to take me to my truck. Lol

Lol.. well take it easy bro.. that's how people get hurt. Seriously, ease into a routine. You need to be familiar with movements before you start throwing around the iron like that or you'll tear a muscle, ligament, or screw up your rotator cuff.. Trust me on this. You'll be in a routine before you know it and then up your weight..

That's not anywhere close to being an accurate statement. There's no threshold for what you should be putting up as it relates to your current weight. There are many more variables that come into play. Watch yourself juicyfruit or I'll put you up in the hall of shame. .

JF.... naw... yer good. I think most of us can tell humor when we see it. Seriously, the "365 for you're first bench press ever??? I don't know brah, maybe you should consider juicing cause that's pretty pathetic." piece had me laughing in my office. One of my staff came in to see if i was on the phone............ =)

I know a lot of my questions might sound dumb but they are honest questions. So while I was at the gym yesterday I noticed I already out lift a majority of the guys in there that appear to be a lot bigger than myself how will I know when my joints and tendons are ready for gear? Wouldn't everyone's body's be different on when its ready? I mean I was never in a gym until last week but I am constantly working my body like a machine at work. I will say one thing I've put myself on a healthier diet and cut back on smoking and I started jogging 3 miles to the gym and walking 3 miles home.lol
