I usually use B-12 on days I have no cycle injections, just preference. Its very hard to get myself energized, and I dont feel that the B-12 helps me personally in that regard. I mainly take it for overall health benifits.
I have never used vet grade, only human grade.

What is a good source for B12 injections ? ( I assume it is alright to ask source for this, since it is legal ! ) . Also, is this just a regular intramuscular injection? I would love to get over the fear of injecting so I'm not nervous for when my Test cycle comes around in a few months...

Yes, it is IM.
I generally use the same size needle that I would use to inject test into that particular muscle. Some people use the same pin that they used to draw to inject. I always switch. The pin you use to draw doesnt need to be huge though, B-12 is water based, and draws extremely easy through the pin.

Thanks for the help g4r . I am a little confused about pins.
Terumo 20 G X 1" Syringe with Needle, 3 CC. Luer Lock and Latex free.
Does 'luer lock' mean that the needle is removable? As in, I can use this syringe WITH needle (sold on AR-R ) to draw from the vial, then I can remove the needle and attach a 25 GAUGE needle to this syringe to inject?

Yeah, you can switch pins with it. Wouldnt recommend 20g to draw B-12, it will really do a number on the rubber, and since like I said, it is water based, sometimes it will have a tendency when you remove the drawing pin out, of bubbling some of the B-12 out, not a lot, but still annoying.
Sorry OP

I know of a lot of people who use vet grade and have no issues with it at all. They buy it because of the price.

B-12 shots? I have never had an issue with any soreness. But, if it will be your first injection, since you have 'virgin' skin, there may be a little discomfort. Just take it easy, and go nice and slow.
So many places to inject. Starting with glutes seems to be what most people do.

I did daily 1000mcg inj IM of B12 and 50mg daily of B6 and my sperm count increased by 500%. Didn't really notice any hunger difference or energy difference and in fact came across some stuff on the web about ppl taking B12 inj's to DECREASE hunger, although they were not scientific studies or anything like that.
But be careful about humping bareback, ur sperm count is gonna go thru the roof, there is documented evidence of that, especially with B6 injections added in. I have also read that taking niacin with B12/B6 has a synergistic effect and increase the effectiveness of them (although be careful of dosage, this substance is notorious for turning ur face red and burning like hell for like an hr if u take too much, I rec a small dosage or get slo-acin (or some other), time released version.

My bf is dropping now, but wasn't while on the B12 inj's. I been off daily B12 1000mcg and daily B6 50mg shots for a couple months.
No idea about metabolism, like I said I read conflicting reports of ppl taking it for both increased and decreased hunger.
Next time I order I will def order 100ml vet grade rather than 30ml bottles thou. Same with the B6 bu I think it's 50ml for those or sumthin. Certain vet/horse sites also have some other interesting injections.
Be careful humpin with no condom, ur sperm count will go thru the roof if u shoot these daily.

Would there be any reason a VET grade supp containing:
Cyanocobalamin (B12) - 1,000 mcg,Thiamine Hydrochloride (B1) - 12.5 mg, Niacinamide - 12.5 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (B6) - 5.0 mg, d-Panthenol - 5.0 mg, Riboflavin (B2) (as Riboflavin 5 phosphate sodium) - 2.0 mg, with benzyl alcohol 1.5% v/v as preservative, ammonium sulfate 0.1%.
Would be unsafe?

nvrmind
i left someones whole post as I think it was all good info
Cyanocobalamin has a half life of about a day. It is a b-vitamin which we know is water soluble and must be replaced on a daily basis. Methylcyanocobalamin is the activated form of B12 and you can take it once 1-2x week like we give patients in the clinic (but these are HRT individuals, not physique athletes trying to eat more) or 1 every week. The exact half life is not all that much different though. If you really would like to slow the half-life, which makes sense in a healthy lifter's case, shoot sub-Q. The release is much slower into systemic circulation than I.M.
The most active form of B12 in the body occurs in the brain and nervous system as methylcobalamin. For the body to make methylcobalamin, it must use enzymes to "methylate" the cobalamin into the active form. These enzyme methylators function for many purposes, mainly in drug detoxification through phase I and II in liver metabolism. So, if a healthy lifter is taking a bunch of drugs, orals, OTC meds, or drinks alcohol, there will be a definite drain on the methylators.
Summary: similar half life taking cyanocobalamin or methylcobalamin. Since the body has to work to convert the cyano form, just take the methyl and give the body directly what it needs. Last note- amongst other nutrients, the B12 will work much better in the presence of high folic acid (major b-vitamin methylator).
A good avg dose is 1000-1500mcg/shot 2-3 times per week in a clinical setting. Drink enough water and as long as you do not notice any unusual numbing of your hands, finglers, arms or toes, you are good to go. Neurological symptoms like these are nothing to freak over, just drop the dose down if it happens. This is super rare in healthy, disease free populations in the doses above. Good luck.Last edited by Jimmy.Boy; 08-11-2010 at 09:29 PM.
