    Help with test cycle

Hey guys, I'm just finishing up my first cycle, anavar only @ 60 mg / day 8 weeks. PCT is nolva and clomid.

I attempted to start a test prop @ 500 mg / wk cycle twice before deciding to do the anavar only cylce, but had problems both times.

When I say I had problems I mean that about 6 days in to the cycles I started feeling insanely tired and actually weaker in the gym so I stopped. I suspect SHBG was spiking or something. I also tried the PH hdrol for a few days and got a similar tired and weak feeling. I switched over to the var and felt great, strength went up quickly.

Anyone have any ideas what I should do to prevent this from happening again? I really want to run test. Next cycle I am planning to try a lower dose like 350 mg / week or something. Any advice would be great.

I'm 25 years old, been training since I was 18. I train for strength only, not mass. 6 ft, 195 lbs

How long did you continue each test cycle before stopping? Maybe your gear was under dosed.

This is quite common. Every time I start a cycle I go through a similar type of phase. It only lasts about a week. You're putting a foreign substance into your body drastically changing your hormonal make up. Expect some changes. The reason the var did not give you the same effect is because it's a much weaker compound.

Thanks for the replies. The gear was definitely dosed correctly. Pharma grade, my friend uses the same stuff and loves it.

I realize with putting foreign hormones in my body I can expect some changes but I was hoping they would be good changes. Here is how both of those attempts have gone. First 2 days I feel fine, energy slightly up maybe. Somewhere around the third shot I start feeling extremely weak in the gym and just not like myself. I am unable to get my body going in the gym, e.g. I was trying to work up to max squats and I failed at about 40 pounds lower than my max even though I was rested.

I haven't read anything about many people having terrible results like this. I have heard of being tired and stuff, but being this weak in the gym seems insane.

Low dose sounds smart. My 3 cycles so far with test have all been under 400. I made pretty good gains on my first cycle which was just 200mg. I figured I'd try to take advantage of my receptors not being fried.
My 4th cycle will be 450mg. Slowly bumping up.
I say try a lower dose and see how you feel. I have felt the weak thing in the gym but it passes pretty quickly, if anything try adding some caffeine or some other kind of stimulant to help keep you motivated.
You seem like a smart guy so I think you'll do just fine.

Search "test flu". Like I said, this will pass. You need to ride it out while your body adjusts to the new hormone levels. What usually promotes negative side effects is the changing of the hormone levels. Once they become stable your body will adjust. When you go off test you will likely experience sides again.

Ok thanks, I guess that is probably what it is. Next time I will start at a slightly lower dose and ride it out if I get the same sides.
