    test cyp and fat loss

i've been taking 300-400mgs of cyp weekly for 7 weeks now and i notice muscle and strength increase but in no way can i loose any fat off my stomach! i eat very healthy and consume alot of protien, i don't eat the 5-6 meals aday because i just don't have the appetite for it but i supplement it with protien shakes, i just work out and pretty much don't do much else for the rest of the day. my meals are not high in fat and there not large portions, so why can't i loose the fat? i'm on the treadmill every second day for an hour. i get my cyp by perscription and i'm supposed to take 150mgs every 10 days.

I can understand your frustration with not dropping bodyfat but the general rule is that it is your diet that actually determines whether or not you shift the bodyfat. Without actually knowing about what you eat and how you train it would be hard for anybody to pinpoint why you're not losing any body-fat. It also maybe you are losing body fat but from where? that would be determined by your genetics so it could be you're losing it off other places instead of the abdominal region first.

Have a look at the diet forum, i've found that quite helpful personally.

Ok I'll jump in here first, I am definitely no expert, but if your not loosing fat and you are getting 3-4 days of one hour cardio then the diet has to be the problem. Unless you have some medical disorder.
I would advise you go to the diet section of this board and post up your diet, but I can tell you right now if you are only eating two or three times a day then thats a big problem. Your metabolizim is creapping by like that! Get help and eat more it getts easier to eat the extra food.

Why are you on prescription test?
    How old are you?
    What is your body fat%
    Weight?
    Height?

here's basically my day: meal 1 oatmeal - protien shake (skim milk) piece of fruit meal 2: protien shake (pre workout) meal 3: protien shake (post workout) meal 4: chicken breast - veggies meal 5: steak veggies or can tuna veggies meal 6: protien shake - fruit

not sure of body fat but fairly high 18%?
    225lbs
    5'10"
    38 years old
    low testosterone

i use to use alot of roids back 10 years ago and had my diet down good and was in excellent shape but this time it doesn't seem to be cutting it

i use the treadmill for an hour every second day and it's set at a brisk walk, i didn't work out for 10 years due to a broken back.

hopefully this can better answer my question, i know it's hard to tell because everybodies different. Maybe i'm just a little bit impatient! by the way for the first 3 weeks of this cycle i only used 200mgs every 7-10 days so for the last 4 weeks i've been using 400mgs

I would split your dose on the test up and do half every 5 days to keep your blood leveles a little more stable.

Then write down what you eat for a week, figure out your amount of cals you need to maintain your weight (seems like you are at that point now, not losing and not gaining) then take away 500 cals and you will lose weight. If you are in a Cal deficet you will lose. Also on the flip side if your not eatting enough you will be fighting your body as it will want to hold weight.

Thats where I would start, also post your diet in the diet section of this site and see what they say there. IMO I would say more real food, less shakes off the start.

you need to re-work your diet, like mentioned above figure out your maintenance calories, its looks like you are only eating about 1200-1400cals a day, your metabolism might be that of a dead man.

thanks guys. i know it's common sense but it's really hard when you don't have the appetite, i just can't eat like i could 10 years ago!! but i'll take it slow and build up my appetite. i was on pain killers for 10 years and they totally f@#ked it up (my appetite). i'll try it.

ok bro you can adjust to accomodate that, are you wt training as well or just cardio? how intense is the cardio? that cardio should really kick up your appetite but if you are eating to little for to long your body is going to preserve itself

Yup this is quite accurate, also apart from working on your diet, have your thyroid checked to see where your levels fall in, using T4/T3 might be an avenue you may wish to explore.

Any time someone starts testosterone their estrogen will increase which means an increase in fat. I noticed a slight increase in stomach fat when I started. Also, I think that it gives everyone a little bit of extra water weight, that is not truly "fat" as it will go away once you stop. Maybe try running a anti-e and see if it becomes easier to loose fat.
