When Can i start drinking again?

well right now im stationed at sheppard AFB, TX. im starting a m-drol cycle on wed. i got the proper PCT serm and milk thistle and all that good stuff.

im not a big drinker but when i get back in 4 weeks i know there is going to be a little cookout. considering ill have just started my PCT i was wondering if it would be ok to drink then or should i wait a mouth or 2?

    thanks for your help.

M-drol is a 17aa, which means that it's live toxic. I have limited knowledge of it, but everything I've seen seems to be in pill form. Pills are tougher on your liver than injectables, because the steroid has to be made "tough" to survive the first pass through you liver without being destroyed or eliminated from the bloodstream. Injectibles are easier on your liver because they go right into the bloodstream and bypass the first pass through the liver, so they aren't as tough on the liver because they don't have to be made as resistant to liver metabolism.

Keep in mind that liver support while on a cycle is just to keep your liver from getting permanently damaged and try to lessen the strain on it. It isn't going to make it like you're not on steroids. It will take a bit of time after you end your cycle for all your liver levels to be back to normal. With that in mind I would say avoid alcohol until a month or two after your PCT is finished. This way everything should be 100% out of your system and your liver function should be 100% back to normal.

IMO, it won't hurt you to splurge a bit for your cookout.

agree with Nmacfar. The liver has great abiltity to recover from short term abuse. I definitley wouldn't start drinking a 6 pack a day or anything

Yes, the liver can recover from short term abuse when it is not already being hindered by another compound. Even then there is still the possibility of doing damage from binge drinking alone. It may take years to create a cumulative affect, but it does happen. Also, some people have better livers than others. My freshman year of college I drank like a fish. My tolerance was so great that I could drink an entire handle (1.75 liters) of whiskey in a night and not get sick. I'd routinely drink a 30 pack of beer in a sitting. My roommate was on pace with me until one day he woke up vomiting blood. He went to the doctor who told him to either stop drinking or die. He'd already done permanent damage to his liver and we were only 19. It isn't like we woke up and had to drink to get out of bed, or even drank every day. Thursday night would roll around and we'd party every night until Sunday, recover Sunday and go to class Mon-Fri.

FYI, my roommate later told me that he'd done some steroids in high school. I don't know which ones, how much, or anything like that. I still have not taken any steroids to this day. Granted, knowing what I know now what he did was royally stupid for several reasons (too young, probably no PCT, ect.). Still it illustrates the dangers of drinking, especially with a liver that may already have been compromised by steroids.

Ultimately everyone is responsible for their own choices in life. I'm just saying that if it were me I'd skip the drinking until after the cycle and PCT were done. It's always better to be safe than sorry IMHO.
