Cephalexin (antibiotics) dosing anyone!??
As part of my preparation for cycle I also got a large box of Cephalexin (500mg) in case of infection.
Well, with my latest shot (glute) I'm definitely in more pain than usual and I also got a slight fever/cold coming on. This could be circumstantial but I am going into the countryside (very rural part of Thailand) and I don't want to take any risks.
Therefore I am packing the antibiotics, but I am unclear on what kind of dosing and duration would be necessary to treat an infection caused by injection.
Any help on dosage would be well received.

Google tells me:
The recommended dose of cephalexin for most types of bacterial infections is 250 mg to 1000 mg, taken four times a day for 7 to 14 days. For chronic or more serious infections, your healthcare provider may continue treatment for a longer period of time.
But if you do indeed have an infection, I wouldn't go it alone. The doc is your best choice.
