1st cycle, painful, swollen lump in glut. Pink not red.

Hi guys, first off I reused a needle without boiling, I just swabbed it with alcohol. It was stupid, I know, I won't do it again. I took the shot Monday afternoon, and the pain has been similar to other shots, but now there's a large tender lump accompanying it. And other shots, I think the tenderness was starting to wane at this point (3 days later). It's pink like somebody smacked my ass, not red at all...the pink blotch is around the size of a softball. Hurts like a bitch, but again, not so much more than other shots. Would I know if it was infection by this point? Would it be way more discolored? My ass looks lopsided.

Yah it sounds like it is infected. Depending on how bad the infection is t should start to go away

I have had these in my thighs. However I have never re used a pin. Some times this is a result of putting too much in too fast. Slow it down some get new pins and see if it persists

Don't ever, ever re-use needles.

And don't swab them, as if that sterilizes something that's going deep into your muscle.

Sounds like the start of an infection.

I'd head to the doc.

Better safe than sorry.
