Thread: Suppression

    Suppression

I have been doing research on steroids for the last few months and have been wondering about suppression levels. It seems that hdrol is recommended way more than say test enthanate for a first time user. Both of which will shut you down. But would enthanate be worse on hpta because it is ingested for a longer period of time, has more androgenic properties, working on different pathways etc, or would they both cause potentially the same problems?

The reason I am asking is because I am turning 21 in December and after reading in the trt section, am seeing the consequences of taking steroids to early. But none of what I read was from prohormones, possibly because they are more new after the ban. But not sure if they would be better for hpta since they suppress as well.

At your age any artificial increase in free test, either from direct injection, or single step metabolic breakdown of a prohormone is a bad, bad idea. Any such increase will be suppressive, and any suppression at your age is bad, bad, bad. This is how you end up on TRT for life at 22, search around you'll find guys on here with that problem. Guys who spent their 20s with a screwed up libido and ED.

I tell you this because I don't want to see another kid make a bad decision that he has to pay for the rest of his life. Believe me when I say that at your age all gains can be made and kept via diet and training, with the assistance of legal supplements that work. If you want to get somewhere and don't know how ask those questions and you'll get all the help you need, but you will always be told that steroids are not for you and you don't need them.

FYI, the amount of free test increase will determine the amount of suppression largely, but there are other more complex factors to consider as well. The advice is still stay away from either and let us help you learn to train and eat right. If you need advice on either I'm a post or a PM away.

Greatly appreciate the honest feedback TKO. You answered my question to a t. I assumed I would get a response like this, just wanted to be sure. I won't be like the many others I have read that doesn't get the response they want and take it anyway, not worth the possible problems later in life. I really enjoy these boards, everyone is respectful and doing the best for the safety of others, even if they have to be blunt about it. I have put my diet up already and that got helped out greatly, will post workout up sometime to see what people say. Thanks again.

I get tired of playing daddy and telling people why they shouldn't use too early, so I'll leave that to everyone else.
However, I will point out that there is 0 difference between AAS and PHs, especially since every "PH" still on the market is actually just a steroid that hasn't been banned yet. So don't think that Hdrol is somehow different than Tbol or Anavar or whatever.
