Use of a PO Box in the US
Does anyone have any recent experience with renting a PO box from the USPS? My local PO has them very reasonably, but I am wondering if the post office sends anything to the box holders home mailing address? I do not want my wife to see what I am ordering so I'd like to use a PO box, and I also do not want her to get any notices in mail with a bill, receipt, etc. from the post office.

well, I have my po box for many years now with the usps. if a package comes in they will leave a pink card in your box and if you dont pick your package up in the required time they will just send it back. the post office will never send any information to your home address you can even make one up.
the problem is some sources will not ship to a po box

True story, i rented a po box cause i had to sign a name for my gear when it was delivered to my house, so i go to check my po box after a few weeks of placing my order , opened it up and what do i see a yellow slip telling me to go to the counter to get my package lol.

I use mail boxes, etc. they sign for all packages and only call my cell to remind me to update my payment. I prefer this as post offices kinda creep me out as there could be postal cops with handcuffs on the premises. at mail boxes etc they would have to stake the place out, unlikely unless they are trying to catch a hit man or something.
