    8 or 10

    I know most people recommend 10 weeks on cycle but would 8 weeks be to short.

    I talked to a local BBuilder and he said the gains start tapering off at around 8 weeks...

    My thought are so im not shut down for as long... also maybe a slightly higher dose per week for the same amount of cash....

    any body run a 8 week cycle and a 10 week...thoughts?

    the test will take 4-5 weeks to kick in i would run it ten

    Normally, short ester like Test Prop is run 8 weeks and longer esters like Test E is run 12 weeks. It takes longer esters 4 weeks or so to kick in.

    what amount per week are you thinking? and whats your cycle history?

    I have read, more than once, that anything longer than 8 weeks is a waste. After 8 weeks your body will need higher doses to see results.

    From personal experience I know that it can take about 5 weeks to truly feel test with long esters. However, if you stopped at eight weeks it is still in your system and you will still be growing.

    It seems generally true that gains taper off around 8 weeks, but I don't think that's a universal law (like gravity) for everyone. People should experiment with different techniques to find what works for them.

    If you're thinking about an 8 week cycle, I would look into short esters.

    Definitely don't run deca for 6 weeks.

    Look into HCG if you are concerned about shutdown. That should aleviate any concerns you have about going longer than 8 weeks. Just because gains peak by week 8 doesn't mean you shouldn't stay on another two weeks. Think of it like this: you reach a peak, and then immediately pull back what you used to get there. That peak is going to fall away, because you didn't cement it into your physique. I think this is why 10-12 weeks is considered standard, with some guys going as long as 14.
