    Nandrolone for tendons

Hi all, before I start, I have never taken steroids before and have been doing some research on them for some time now, I have had impingement in my shoulder for as long as I can remember now but am building strength back up now but also on the same arm I have tendinitis in my elbow which hurts when doing certain exercises, so on that arm the tricep is under developed and my forearm just gets bigger and taking allot of weight instead of biceps too so a major imbalance everywhere around there.

I would like to try some deca nandroline at a low dosage whilst training on light weights and stretching for a while, my concerns are that because I've heard that test will counteract what the deca does that I have to just take the deca on it's own, is it safe to do this at a low dosage? And with a good pct plan, if so I would like to find some help of the right way to go about this.

Deca alone at any dose is not a good idea, it will shut your libido down 100%
Hence the incorporation of test. You deffinately need to do much more research, your plan is poor. Why not start by seeing a doc perhaps cortisone treatment with physical therapy.

    Also what are your stats
    Age:
    Weight
    Hieght
    Bf%
    training exp
    Planned pct

Seeing a doctor for a cortisone injection and physio therapy is a poor plan as I've done that months ago. anti depressants lower your libido too. Plus no point giving my stats is there then, as it's a poor plan anyway.

I've seen in a few posts on this forum that the minerals and Collagen Synthesis that nandrolone helps enhance/produce is only counteracted by test.

High doses of Test then to dry out the collagen in joints. Deca, EQ, anavar in small doses seem to build collagen in joints. I'm on a 150mg deca/wk, 100mg EQ/wk, 20mg anavar, and 150mg Test to maintain my endogenous level of Test. It's making my joints feel better. I have really bum joints. I've been on glucosamin/chondriden for over 10 years. Cissus for over 2 years. I'm desperate for relief so I turned to AAS. Let's see how it works.

Hmm interesting, how does eq help? Also you are using the same amount of deca to test?

Yeh funny enough a few people on here have not heard it helping tendons or do not believe it does but a quick search on the Internet shows studies that it does help tendons, Also some people kind of contradict theirselves by saying at the same time that it is good for joints though tendons are a very important part of joints. I'm going to give this ago as I have had these problems for too long now and would like to try this, just want to do it safely and that's the reason why I'm here.

Deca should help. I am going through the same thing now with my right shoulder. If you are gonna run deca..lets say 200mg/week, then you should double the dose of Test...400mg/week. This will take care of the libido problem and should help you shoulder out tremendously. Also you will want to take glucosamine as well. GOOD LUCK! This shit sucks...I know!

I take 150mg deca/wk, 100mg EQ/wk, and 150mg of Test P per week. All I'm trying to do with the Test is to stabilize my endogenous level of test from getting too low due to the shutdown of the deca and eq.

Dec Im sorry I didn't put my stats down first, I thought I wasn't going to get much help but some of these posts have been helpful, especially scotchguards post, and don't worry I am definately not going to run twice as much test as deca lol.

Okay so here are as much as I can give you for my stats.

    Age 26
    Body Building for 4 years
weighing 220lb maybe just over that now
    Height 6ft 6"
I don't know my body fat percentage sorry

    Anything else, just ask..

P.S. I appreciate everyones help, I am here as I would like help from people who know what their talking about, not just from some guy in the gym who doesn't seem to know what their on about compared to some of you guys.

I don't have any knowledge of eq though, that I must say and will read into it.

Yeah, it would be easier doing 2 shots per week instead of 4. I just had prop on hand so off I went.

    good job.

running more test than deca is a myth, as long as you have supplementry test of, say 100mg pw going in (most would do 250mg pw), you shouldnt suffer any negative libido probs from the deca.

Tendonitis is a real PITA to get rid of. My tennis elbow (lateral epiconylitis) took five months to fully resolve. Now I'm dealing with it in my thumb/wrist on the same side.

The only real cure I found was time. Rest, icing, heat, and NSAIDs like Ibuprofen will relieve the symptoms and speed healing, but ultimately it's a time thing. Ultrasound can really help once you are back to full range of motion and minimal pain, however do not use it if it is flared up.

Regarding using Deca to treat it, don't. If you use any steroid to treat it I would go with Anavar. The side effects are much lower, and it has the same result. What you are looking for is a boost in collagen synthesis. Deca, EQ, and Anavar all do that. It is due to a boost in progesterone and estrogen. Test will not counteract the Deca in this way, because test will in fact aromatize to estrogen. The danger is if you are taking an AI that is dosed too high and you are dropping your estro levels too far. Then it could be an issue. You will also get some rise in free DHT from test, which will compete with progesterone at the receptor, but the amount of test will determine the extent of this competition.

The big thing is that I would not try to built strength actively while still in the throws of recovering from tendonitis. This is a sure way to hurt yourself worse, because you will increase muscle strength in areas where the tendons are already marginalized. If you just want to heal the tendons you could try running Anavar at maybe 30-40mg/day for 6-8 weeks while keeping your lifting the same (do not try to add strength and avoid exercises that cause pain). There is no guarantee or scientific studies that show that this will work. There is lots of anecdotal evidence that it will, as well as scientific backing for the processes involved, but no studies which directly link it.

BTW, I would avoid cortisone injections if I were you. They may make it feel better for a time, but they may also lead to you doing more than you should and causing a downward spiral of reinjury. You are only supposed to have them a maximum of three times in the same location as well. Cortisone injection also precludes the possibility of using ultrasound as a therapy. You can do one or the other, but not both.

My tendonitis in my elbow doesn't hurt at all outside the gym, it just hurts in the gym and is weak also, my shoulder is weaker now. I have repeat prescription anti inflamitrys which work a treat but not so much for my elbow, only for my shoulder. There is no inflamation in my elbow tendon straight after training, okat it hurts a little but it subsides on its own, it's just when im ACTUALLY training when it hurts.

There is one study which I have found which include nandrolone but on geneticly created tendons rather than real ones..
    http://www.flexcellint.com/documents/TT/TT2.pdf

There are a few people here who have had positive outcomes in using deca for joints and I appreciate what you say about the side effects and that is why I am here to get an insight on things.

I know cortisone is a waste of time, not all the time but allot of the time.

I know you say that Anavar has little side effects, and I have heard it elsewhere that it helps tendons but oral steroids? with no test? I just don't feel comfortable about it at all.

I'm very much swaying towards very low dosages of deca nandrolone + test only, obviously with a good PCT plan afterwards

I'm on 300mg deca with 500mg test /week. My jammed thumb is fixed and my chronic low back pain is non-existent.

One thing you have to realize is that you can have inflammation without visible swelling. If you are getting pain while working out the condition is not fully healed. It is probably only certain movements that affect it. Upright rows were a killer for me.

At this stage I would highly, highly suggest ultrasound. After a months course of treatment you will probably be 100% healed.

Anavar is an oral, but is much milder than other orals. You could certainly run it with test as well. Truthfully though I feel that you can resolve this with US better than any steroid at this point.

    Okay,
1 I've heard that the tendons play catchup with any muscle buildup on anavar, and how is anavar on the liver?

2 Has anyone else here tried anavar on its own for tendons and had any help from it?

3 I have had my elbow tendonitis for a year and a half...

The fact is you all are allot more experienced in AS and know your stuff allot more than me and I am very happy and appreciative of you taking the time to help me but just, what shall I do???? lol, your telling me to take Anavar or do ultra sound now, other people have had no problems after using deca.... Which one? lol.

I tried Anavar (60mg/day for 7 weeks) + 150mg Test/wk for my joints. The final result was ok, but it didn't provide long term cure. I got pretty lean and tight though. Even though my joints weren't healed at least I looked better. LOL

    1. Anavar is mild but still liver toxic. I tool milk thistle with it. No noticeable liver side effects.

    2. The help in the tendons felt good while I was on Anavar but slowly went away when I came off cycle.

    3. My tendonitis in my elbow feels a LOT better on my current deca (150mg/wk) + EQ (100mg/wk) + Test P (150mg/wk) I'm thinking about going heavy again but I'm a little scared to hurt it again.

Based on what I've read and my own experience I don't think AAS is a "cure" for bad joints. I think what's happening is that the AAS provides relief from the inflammation so the body can heal itself. It seems that each person reacts slightly different to different AAS. You'll have to do your research, map out a "joint" cycle, and jump in. Keep a log so you can tell if you're feeling better. Good luck.
