Do Insulin Users Use Slow Acting Insulin?
My friend is diabetic, and uses Insulin (both fast & slow acting) on a daily basis, so I've been researching a "little" bit on bodybuilders using Insulin as a steroid . I was just wondering though, do they use the slow acting insulins ASWELL as fast acting ones? I can understand the need for fast acting insulin, such as post workout etc & helping to transport the nutrients to the muscles, but I can't think why you'd use slow acting insulin as a bodybuilder.
So do bodybuilders use Slow acting Insulin aswell as Fast acting, and if so, what do they use it for? I could of course be wrong about the reason fast acting insulin is used aswell, but I figured it was to help transport nutrients to the muscles quickly after a workout.
Thanks guys.
