Trt injection...27 gauge?

Hey guys have a quick question...received medication from my doctor (Test Cyp) and was provided with 27 gauge 1/2" needles. Will these be OK for injecting .1ml of test into my deltoids? Was kinda questioning the such little gauge and shortness and length of needle. What do you guys think?

I haven't tried a 27 gauge so can't comment .
When you draw up I would inject back into vial to know pressure/force taken so that your not caught of guard with pin in delt . I hate having a pin in the spot and not having leverage to push on plunger . I like to make sure needle is in optimal alignment so I'm not moving needle a lot when aspirating then injecting .

I would say always use fresh pin for injecting also .

27? Damn that's small. I use 25g and most people think that'sto small.

Thanks for the words guys, the draw isn't to bad so I dont think it will be a painfully slow process once I'm in my delt.

Lov, I thought the exact same thing when I received my shipment its not so much the gauge of the needle I'm worried about its the length.

Would 1/2" pin be long enough to reach my delt?

Depends on how much adipose tissue is between the skin and muscle. Either way if it's IM or Sub-Q both methods will be absorbed.

Thanks for the response....it is supposed to be an IM injection....I did the injection early went as good as it could have....area of injection is a little tender unlike sub-q shots so I'm thinking the 1/2" pin made it to the deltoid.

It doesn't have to be IM but IMO it's best to get it deep to prevent leakage. If you experience leaks utilize the z-track method since your needle is short.

I use a 25g and pushing in plunger is no picnic .
A 27g with oil seems so hard I would worry about snapping off the needle .

I'm almost a month in now...so far so good....sometimes I get leakage but using proper technique I can contain it

if this is for trt and your gonna be injecting alot just order some 23g 1" and 1.5" from a-ar or tell the doc to up some pins for u

U gonna have hard time drawn it in the syringe and getting it out. The minimum I would go with it 25gage 5/8 in lenth. I wouldn't even try to go above 25 gage.
